Sweetback...(Sade Adu's band)

Does anyone here like this group? I have their first CD but how was their second album? Do they have a third?
I'm in the mood for love...simply because your near me.

^^Why bother being here if you expect everyone to get an answer via google or wiki? Part of the joy in this community is hearing people's individual perspectives on the questions. shrug IMHO

Back the question asked, they have two CDS and I love them both. Stewart Mathewman AKA Cottonbelly also has a remix CD, which is awesome as well.

Don't go into either entity expecting Sade Redux because they each have their own styles that are obviously influenced by their time as a band but true to their individual origins.

I don't mind conversation of course. I'm all for knowledge and learning things, but I believe it's just as satisfying to find it on one's own, rather than asking on a forum. I also think sometimes (not necessarily in this case), it's pure laziness on some folk's part. Simplistic questions like "Why does 2+2=4?" seems vapid to me, opposed to a meaty discussion on something.

There really is no perspective on how many CDs Sweetback has out, is there? They have two - that's it. Two is two. I'd rather hear "I'm just getting into Sweetback. Has anyone else ever gotten into them? What is your recommended listening?" You know, that sort of thing.

I loved the first release for "Gaze," "Softly Softly," "Arabesque," and "Hope She'll Be Happier". The second one I didn't like hardly at all. It has been several years since I've listened to it.

sigh Who do I need to track down and convince that Sade and Maxwell should tour together? Sweetback could have their own set in the middle.
