Jodeci OR Bobby Womack - If You Think You're Lonely Now I've always been torn between those two versions

Love Jodeci's, but I think I'm gonna have to go with Bobby.

Jodeci sound so much like kids in their attempt to convey the emotional turmoil of the lyrics. It takes a soulful vet like Bobby to show 'em how it's done. [Edited 5/6/10 15:13pm]

I have both and I'm still gonna crown Bobby the king! His voice is amazing and I don't normally go for that raspy sound.
Wait....wasn't there a third male artist/group that had success with this song?

i'm not a fan of remakes but when i heard Jodeci's version of this, i was like DAMN. he just might have outdone Bobby. i think K-Ci just might've pulled off a rarity in music

I vote for Bobby. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Some said the same thing about Mary J.'s covers. It was quite that both K-Ci and Mary J. were doing covers at the same time.

KC did okay with it but obviously King Womack owns this song. Don't laugh at my funk

Bobby Womack as usual knocks out K-Ci when people debate who sings the song the best. Plus Bobby wrote it himself so...

Definitely Bobby (though K-Ci does a nice rendition).... ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

Yeah K-Ci did the remake version, not Jodeci....but even though my boy did a great job, Bobby's is more superior. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Really? Man you have to check it out. especially Mint Condition's cover of Al Colin's "If Trouble Was Money". As for the thread. I'm going K-Ci. I loved his version ever since I first heard it. I still to this day wonder why every relevant new era male R&B group at the time contributed to "U Will Know" and Jodeci didn't. BIIM, Silk, Mint, The Tonyies, Intro, Guy, H-Town etc. were all there. Maybe they had big egos? lol
