"Talk About Our Love" is from Afrodisiac. I always dug this song but overall i really didn't feel the cd. I'd have to go back and check out Afrodisiac again. Don't laugh at my funk

People in class would bring in the soundtrack too to play. Oh and I love her first 4 albums, her first and full moon being the best, though her second and afrodisac had great tracks too.
I think they nailed her debut perfectly! I remember being surprised how strong it was, especially for a teen act. "Best Friend" had the funkiest little groove. I've never heard her biggest record, "Never Say Never". I loved "Full Moon" too. I thought that if she wasn't preggers at the time of promoting it, it could've done alot better than it did. My biggest gripe with it was it became a little to redundant in its sound. Her vocals on "I Thought" was one of my favorite performances from her to date (especially towards the end). The soulfulness was on point. Very Kim Burrell (lite). Afrodisiac was just dope. They seemed to correct the problem I had with Full Moon, not every uptempo song sound the same. They had some filler too though. But she had a nice variety of producers from Kayne, Rico Wade (Dungeon Family, OutKast, Goodie Mob), to Timbaland. They released the wrong singles for this project. This joint was criminally slept on. I believe this was her last joint with Atlantic, I could be wrong. [Edited 5/11/10 12:59pm] yeah I kept saying best friend was my favourite song on the album, I couldn't stop playing it in 95' but most people seemed to favour I Wanna Be Down and Baby though those were so nice too.

I read some years ago that, she wanted the same players and producers for her follow up. However, her management rejected the idea opting for a more modern sound. Frankly, I think they made a mistake. Her first CD, is classic. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Frankly, I think they made a mistake. Her first CD, is classic. I always wondered why her people never got back Rahsaan Patterson to produce her follow up albums. He had some real strong tracks on her debut album.I know he did some songs for Tevin Campbell( My favorite R&B singer) & her brother RaY J(Can't stomach him). He never really became that hot producer. Seems kind of strange to me. Since he was real talented. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. ![]()

I love her styles in the first album artwork too, so cute! That is how teen stars should have made an album.
