Sorry but this sounds like a bad idea lol

No one can portray Janet because none will capture her essence nor personality.

I don't see how this would be feasible. With exception to the SB incident, her career has been almost scandal-free. Most biopics are done with the person they're about involved, so I don't see the Gina Sprague incident being included. Maybe in time she'll write a book uncovering a shitload of drama a la Tina Turner.

Well it's not as horrid as any of those, it's just boring. Couple meets, couple falls in love, couple has success as music/TV act, couple drifts apart and gets a divorce. Not much drama and no bad guys as they're all so nice. Certainly no Ike & Tina.

Janet's life story, boring?!? Hell no! The first hour of the movie alone would covered:

1. her national TV debut on The Jacksons Variety Show.

2. her close bonds with siblings Randy & (especially) Michael.

3. the role of Penny on Good Times.

4. the role of Charlene DuPrey on Diff'rent Strokes.

5. the switch from her acting career to music career, Joseph's idea of course.

6. her marriage to a then-cocaine user James Debarge (THIS part of the story would be very interesting).

7. her meeting with Jam/Lewis for the first time, going to MPLS, the makings of her 3rd album Control, dance lessons from Paula Abdul, meaning Tina Landon for the first time, etc.

8. Meeting René Elizondo, Jr. for the first time.

And we didn't even get to the second hour of the movie where the success of RN1814 would be covered. So this proves a point that there is a great story to tell if the casting of actors/actress & choice of film director are very good.

I always thought Janet's life was quite interesting, filled with controversy:

- Moving to LA as a child and being the only black child in school / upper white class area- bullied?
- Pursuing her music career - having little success whilst Thriller was selling shitloads
- Meeting James Debarge, secretly eloping, his cocaine abuse - juggling that with acting career in 'Fame' - always late for work, unhappy, had to leave after just one series ( I think) - domestic abuse?? (What about)
- Success in the music industry - rumours of secret love child.
- Problems with LaToya - there was a story about Toya wired when she went to see Janet.
-Dealing with her Fathers infidelity - half sister?
- Secretly getting married to Rene
- TVR - depression
- Marriage to Rene breaking down - accusations from Rene about her sexuality, song writing credits etc...
- AFY ERA -flings – Matthew Mcconaughey etc..
- Suberbowl - blacklisted from nearly everywhere
-relationship with Jermanine Dupri
- MJ - family interventions

There's a lot to work with - a good screenwriter will be able to sex it up. But there is no reason for it to happen at the moment.

Right! You guys get it. Her life is filled with interesting topics. People who say a biopic about Janet would be boring are full of it.

Oh yeah there is also a time during the TVR tour where Janet seriously injured her eye and had to be rushed to ER - Rene apparently wasn't there for her - shows the demise in the relationship.

And the weight gain and loss in 2005 - 2006 - An area of big interest.

A lot of interesting episodes in Janet's life that can be made into a watchable movie.

here's another incident that could be included in the biopic...

In the late 80s,John McClain (a powerful record executive at A&M Records) came up with a bizarre idea for Janet's next album. He wanted her to make an album called 'Scandal',focusing on the various scandals in the Jackson family disbelief Needless to say,Janet told him what he could with this "idea",lol.

Gina Sprague was Joseph Jackson's assistant at his company, who he was allegedly cheating on Katherine with.

There was an incident in which Katherine, Janet, and Randy showed up at the office and supposedly smacked her around and she was taken to hospital.

hmmm A few other things that you may wanna include...

***Around the time of 'All For You',it was rumored that Janet had a "fling" with Justin Timberlake.

***her bout with vertigo last year, which caused the cancellation of several shows on her 'Rock Witcha' tour.

Don't think so. Been a fan of Janet since her Good Times days. I even supported her while she ran around singing "Dream Street" with five belts around her waist on "Dance Fever" and loved the fact that she blew up in the mid 80's with "Control". I just think a movie would bore me to sleep. I don't hate her at all. Her and her family would edit all the juicy shit they tried their best to keep out the press all her life. Where's the spice gonna come from?

That face-off between to two Jackson sisters happen when Latoya was still married/brainwashed by her then-husband Jack Gordon. I would love to know if that confrontation ever gotten close to physical.

Yeah from what I heard Katherine and Randy were doing the hitting, seems like Janet held her, if that is BELIEVED TO BE TRUE, that is.
