FELA Kuti fans - FELA on Broadway (NYC)

Any Fela Kuti fans here? If you're in NYC between now and the end of June you should try to catch this broadway play about his music/life.

I've heard some good reviews and will definitely try to see it myself. It's playing until late June, 2010. Tickets are between $55.00 - $122.00

this show was RI.DIC.U.LOUS!!!!! I saw it back in February. mesmerizing. i bought the 3disc cd of fela's original's of the show songs and i don't typically "splurge" like that. i think it should tour, but i don't think it will, the content is not "mainstream" enough IMO.

I'm hoping to go this month. One of my coworkers saw it when it first hit broadway and was mesmerized by it. I like Fela's song "Expensive sh*t" that I heard for the first time 2 years ago.

Been seeing the ads for this all week on The Today Show. I'm definitely going! That's ONE funky-ass party going down on Broadway, lol.
