Who else was better than them from 83 to 90 as a RnB vocal group. Guy maybe, bu that was only from 88 to 91. PRINCE: Always and Forever

To me... the solo stuff from Bell Biv Devoe and the rest represent extensions of the group as whole.
When I'm going nuts over New Edition, I'm thinking about allll of that stuff.

Sure, there were some gems, but for the most part, I don't care for a lot of their work. Then again, I don't like children singing much either. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I get a lot of flack about it from different people, but I'm not a fan of children singing (MJ, Ralph T, Tevin Campbell all included in that bunch). I don't know what it is, their voices irk the hell out of me. Usually when they become adults, I like their voices, but as kids....can't take it. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I couldn't stand New Edition when they were singing as kids because they sounded like a bunch of mice to me, but once the "Heartbreak" album came out, oh it was on and poppin'!!!!! Next to "Home Again" that's N.E.'s best album to me. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

You are so wrong for posting that picture of Bobby! lol
Must be New Edition day or something on the R&B station I'm listening to this morning. Within the last hour they've played Don't Be Cruel by Bobby, then If it Isn't Love by NE and My My My by Johnny just went off. I wonder what's going on. lol [Edited 4/9/10 8:17am] I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

I really liked New Edition. The very first song that I remember falling in love with was "Is This The End?"
I was in the fifth grade then crying over some crush that I had at the time. Oh, those were the days. But what I thought was the most interesting thing about this group was that it was the "back-up" fellas that made the best songs once solo. BBD was the shit...I Do Need You and When Will I See You Smile Again. Come on now....slow jam classics. Bobby Brown was an amazing talent with the group and especially solo (prior to the drug abuse) We have to keep him in our prayers. And when Johnny "get mad at 'em expressions when he sings" really grew the group up musically. Although, it could have been any of the lil' boy groups that followed The Jackson 5, it made perfect sense to have New Edition do the tribute to Michael Jackson at last years BET awards. It was really good to see them all together, even if only, for that performance.

I remember knowing Every Little Step as a little kid, but I played catchup when Home Again came out and I bought the album for Hit Me Off. I felt deja vu when I heard cool it now so I must have heard it before and forgot.
