i can't get past the hook on this track. i think it ruins an otherwise good track. it's just pass skippable for me

I loved this track. I can't get into the rest of the album, though, which feels TOO minimalistic. Like Sade unplugged. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shot.

^^totally 100 percent disagree. It's a grower, a subtle work IMHO. Give it a couple more listens and then judge it.

i've been listening to it, forcing myself to go back to it, but there
is nothing that jumps out at me. it feels so very bland and all of it
sound basically the same.

since it's pretty much the same band you hear on maxwell's new album
i was hoping for a bit more life in the recording. sadly, there is
nothing even remotely as interesting as the music on "pretty wings"
on this album.

^^^are you sure about that? I know Mathewman worked on the first two albums but I didn't know he worked on the new one (or any of the other players).

Im really dissapointed they chose this as the second single, its my least favorite from the album. I was hoping for In Another Time or Long Hard Road.

Fair enough, however, I've never "instantly" fell in love with a Sade album (with the exception of Strong than Pride). The band is great at building atmosphere and her poetic lyrics sometimes take the right mood for them to hit me. But hey, if it's not for you, good on you.
