I got the WORST ass whopping of my life, while this song played. My little brother was a little "fire-starter", when he was a kid. One day, he tried to set the carpet on fire in our bedroom. When my mom smelled smoke and saw the carpet, she KICKED our asses!! It was this song that was playing on the radio as we were ducking...lol!! I have alot of crazy stories like that,too.This is a good topic for a thread....childhood memories and pop music,lol.To this day, every time I hear this song, I cringe....and I am damn near 43 years old. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth" |

No,it's not "Look Away" is unlistenable.If you dig 70's MOR, then "if you leave me now" is cool, same if you dig 80's MOR, you dig the wimpfest "look away". Personally I don't even like "look away" much, but its a damn sight better then "if you leave me now" to me. | |

"Look Away" is one of the shit drabest songs I've ever heard. I prefer to live my life as if it didn't exist. "If you leave me now" however is an absolute eargasm of melody and harmony. Granted, the lyrics are rudimentary, but the music is so far beyond that, that the lyrics become incidental IMO! Perfect production, beautifully played horns and string swells. A masterpiece! Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss... | |
