If they could just follow Madonna's lead and start ripping cinema instead of Madonna herself, everyone would chill. I'm sure of this!

How much fun would it have been if Christina remade Sex Lies And Videotape or something?

All these female artists are 96% Image , 4% talent.

Everyone tries so hard to be different and eccentric, it’s getting ridiculous.

Where is the originality?

Christina is talented. She just likes making a fool out of herself by singing songs that don't fit her vocal type.

She should stop that. She did that during the Stripped era. I guess this is her only way of making steam. confused

sigh

What is wrong with her? The video is just a mess. I have said before I don't care about copying, but if u gonna copy, do it WELL. Everyone has done their Madonna videos, but they do it well. See Beyonce's Madonna replica. See Ciara doin Janet. It is fine when it is done smoothly. Somethin is so off here. She is so UNsexy, no sex appeal at all. The scenes r all chopped together, there is ZERO flow to this. Theres way too many outfits and shots and its all overblown, desperate and uncessary.

If anyone has seen her videos for Fighter and Candyman, we would know that she DOES have star power and can make some of the best music videos. But she is void of any magnetism or star power in this clip. FLAT. What happened?

Strike One. disbelief

I didn't mind Gaga wearing the outfit from Who's That Girl because it's simply not one of Madonna's most over-played videos/movies/looks and certainly not as recent. It also only lasted briefly within a new context.

But Christina looks like she is remaking shot after shot. Not just standing at the top of a platform in the suit and monacle, but like... every other memorable part.

Well, there u go.

I'm so dissapinted with this. She is such a mess right now. Fail after fail after fail.

She needs to do better than this.

Yeah, I think she can sing, but the choices she makes regarding the songs is stupid, her choices are dull.
.

Plus, She screams way too much sometimes, it’s so irritating, she doesn’t know when to shut up.disbelief

No comment about the other artists tho especially Flopney Spears.

Yeah it kept cutting to different scenes like every two seconds. It was like the song, hard to get into. I only watched once but can't stomach a second viewing.

Her screaming makes it hard to take her seriously as a vocalist. Like how can we call u a great singer if all u wanna do is scream and stick melisma into places it doesn't belong? I heard her say once that she never had any vocal training. like, WTF? How is that somethin to be proud of? confused

I cant even watch her live performances of Beautiful, shes just cant sing the damn song straight. Beautiful is like imagine. Melisma has no place on songs like that. confused

WTF? Stripped was amazing, one of the best pop albums of the decade. R u serious? Back to Basics was a bloated mess, but Stripped was a shinin moment in her carurr.

My favorite song she ever did:

Thats as pure as it gets. How can u say "she wasnt bein herself?" confused

I immediately associate her endorsement of Britney and Christina by them singing "Like A Virgin" on MTV VMAs before Madonna joined and kissed them both, but it was probably a ritual that went over my head.

Honestly, nobody in the industry seems to like her. Pink hates her. Mariah hates her. So does Mary J Blige. They all hate her. And she started that fight with Gaga. So... lol

But younger newer singers like Jordin Sparks and Leona idolize her and cite her as their biggest influence. lol

Because Christina stays in Madonna's juicebox like she's thirsty lol so i was wondering if she ever acknowledged her beside her rivals. I know Janet has paid Cedric dust. I guess that happens when they copy you from scratch and don't incooperate nothing of their own.

Well, even then she was using Christina because she knew her Britney were rivals lol Her kiss with Christina went unnoticed and she collaborated with Britney right after lol

Its fine if u dont like the album, but my problem is dat u said it was phony. All the sogns were deep and persoanl, its her Like A Prayer or Velvet Rope album, i just neva heard anyone say Stripped was phoney. U the 1st one, so dats why imma need u to explain urself. lol

If u referrin to her image- black hair, deep tan, and talkin ebonics then yeah, she was fake. But NOT the music. hmph!

Uh-huh, isnt this wut i said before? Everything "new" is brought from outside. Just like MJ taking the musical theatre and bringing it to pop music. It was nothin new, but it was new to POP MUSIC. Ppl need to go beyond the mainstream music scene and copy from movies and theatre, or the streets. Or at least copy some relative unknown like Lady Gaga does. lol

However, to her credit. the Back to Basics videos were amazing and i loved the 1950s inspired looks of the whole thing. That was well excecuted. nod

No. At least not publicly.

FYI:

What a lot of people don't know about the whole VMA situation is that Christina was basically a stand-in. A couple weeks/days before the show it was floated around the blogosphere that Jennifer Lopez was going to open alongside Madonna and Britney. Unfortunately (or fortunately, at least in my eyes) there was a scheduling-conflict since she was filming the flop that is Gigli. As a result, Madonna/MTV invited Aguilera to join the party. And you know, she's always free so it was no problem. I remember her coming from behind the cake after Britney's part expecting J.Lo when she lifted her veil.
