I don't even want to watch it now that someone told me it samples this. Also, Banned By Youtube is the new Banned By MTV marketing tool. Well it did have nudity and a sexual scene in it. So that added to it being "banned". Why would they put a video like that on YouTube anyway. Anyway bottom line is we saw it somewhere. The video's alright, the song's OK I guess. Wow I'm listening to the "original sample" of the song right now.

The song I can take or leave.
But I love this video. The amount of respect I have for M.I.A. and the film maker because of it cannot be overstated. Like BlaqueKnight said, there are a lot of people -and not just those crazy Holocaust deniers, either -who don't believe that violence like this has happened and is happening, or that sometimes it's the good guys doing it. The use of gingers as the persecuted group was a clever choice. They're picked on and bullied enough in real life that they're recognizable to almost everyone immediately as "victims", but can represent whichever violently persecuted group the viewer chooses to see represented in this video. Well done, M.I.A. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Quite a few parts in that video was very disturbing video, but I get the point she was making. Shocking as hell though. [Edited 4/30/10 19:36pm]

Not shocking. Kinda funnie, and pretty stupid, but enjoyable. M.I.A. paints in uh, broad strokes, you know?
Kinda dug the song though.

I say take 'em out! As a Black female ginger, I must say I feel like I must look over my shoulder a lot more than usual now. As for the metaphors, I think what is interesting to me is that the mother of one of Britain's most famous gingers was anti-landmine. I don't know if that even crossed anyone's mind, or is just irony.
