Some productions by Rene & Angela : Edmund Sylvers, Plush & Ronnie McNeir One of the earliest recordings with a Rene & Angela-composition which i'm aware of is by the late Edmund Sylvers, on his Casablanca album-release around 1980.
Rene & Angela's protege-group Plush re-recorded the track and released it on their selftitled album from 1982. Plush includes Siedah Garrett. I guess that was her first entrance in the music-scene. A few more songs from Rene & Angela's catalogue were also re-recorded for the Plush-album , such as "Free & Easy", "Strangers Again" and "We Got The Way" (recorded by Rufus & Chaka, retitled : "We've Got The Love" for Plush). Ronnie McNeir released a 4-track EP around 1984 on Capitol. The album starts which a great R&A-groove : The productional company on Ronnie's EP is credited as a "New Horizon Production Company", so i'm not sure if all tracks were under the production of Rene & Angela : http://www.discogs.com/Ro...ase/539624 Nevertheless, here are 2 other EP-tracks : [Edited 4/30/10 13:40pm] | |
