That should be the title of his new CD. That would make an excellent title for his memoir too! Ron is practically a living, breathing soul/rock institution. I wonder if he's ever thought about penning his life story?

Really? Why? I don't know but not seeing his name as one of the names to work on the next album tells me something happened in their friendship. Hell he about disowned the "Mr. Biggs" moniker on his last single: "I'm not Mr. Biggs, tonight I'm just Ronald Isley..."

I got the album when it first came out, listened to it like the most about 5-6 times, then found it last year and took a piece of glass, scratched the fuck out of it, broke it in to pieces and then threw it away.

Listened to it for a week after getting it for Christmas. Then just stopped playing it. A few months ago I found out I still had it and just threw it in the trashcan. So I kept it around for about two and a half years.

I was a bit surprised to read CD liner notes wherein Chris Jasper claims he, Ernie and Marvin were responsible for the Isleys' creative resurgence, as they crafted and arranged the hits and the older Isleys would simply come in and lay down the vocals in the studio.

I wasn't to be honest with you. It pisses me off that Ernie doesn't get his due as one of the greatest guitar gods since Hendrix. In a just world, he would have appeared on the covers of Guitar Player & Rolling Stone multiple times.

American Master, before they are gone because I don't think there's been a comprehensive look at their career. I want to know what Hendrix and Isley's learn from each together, it wasn't a one way street I believe.

Yep,in the liner notes to the 'Go All The Way' remaster,Chris seems really bitter He mentions that most of that album was written by himself, intended to be a separate project by the younger members, but then the older members heard it and decided to make it the next Isley Brothers album, taking credit for co-writing the songs. There seemed to be some kind of feud going on between the older members and the younger members.

I think it was the older Isleys vs. Jasper. The other Isley Bros. were caught in the crossfires. They respected their elder brothers. I'm thinking Jasper don't talk to NONE of the Isleys anymore.
