Wow. I've never been into this dude, but the more I look at him, the more I become interested. hmmm He's got that unique facial look that was just destined to be famous.

Oh man! You have GOT to explore Bowie! So many "ch-ch-changes" and so much great music! Get hold of the DVD of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars to start off with.

Yeah, I think I will start studying his music. Thanks for the tip. smile

I already know/like one of his songs: "Let's Dance." music

That's a beautiful shot of him too, which helps.

The guy who played Biggie maybe? His performance in Notorious was spot on.

Further to your question..

would like to see a film about his whole life, or just one part of it?

and if only one period what period would you like it to be?

A movie about his whole life would be fascinating but way too long unless they skipped over a whole lot.

I'd rather NOT see a flick about the Glam years. Biographies I have read about him focus too heavily on that period IMO. It feels more like the focus is there for the salacious details than any genuine interest in the mechanics of the Ziggy era.

Seeing an epic tale of what went on in Berlin could be something, or maybe his shift into Top 40 mainstream in the 80's.

I agree, I'd rather not see the glam era.

Im a big fan of Low and his Berlin years, but Im not sure how it would translate to film.
A film covering Station to station, The man who fell to earth, and Low might be cool.
In fact they could do something interesting with the man who fell to earth, a film within a film

There's this actor who played Lt.Dan in "Forrest Gump". I think if he was 15 years younger, he would fit the part. My opinion.

Isn't Viggo the same damn age as Bowie? falloff If that's the case, have Bowie do it himself. lol

Mortensen is about 10 years younger than he is. But they are about the same height too I believe (about 5'10) and that's when a talented make-up artist gets a call! With a good make-up staff who's gonna know the difference? smile

He's a fine actor, but he's too old to play young Bowie and his facial structure's all wrong.

Plus, I suspect Bo is still annoyed about Velvet Goldmine so perhaps anyone associated with that film should be skipped over. lol

Realistically though, sooner or later someone in Hollywood will throw out the idea of doing a Bowie flick. Truly, no one can come close to the real thing, but they'll try.

Oh they'll try alright. It never stopped them before. lol But it's better to get the real thing rather than a facsimile.

There's probably someone who could, but they'd probably get that miserable Robert Pattinson to do it. Gawd he's horrible.

Hayden Christensen?
