Larry "D" Dodson on vocals....James Alexander funk bass extrodinare.... Lloyd Smith on guitar..... Michael Beard on drums....From playin behind Otis Redding and Issac Hayes to the top of the charts to the bottom....they've got a hell of a story to tell

Yes they do. James Alexander(missed the flight) and Ben Cauley are the only living original members. Ben Cauley left a few years after they reformed the Barkays to play with Isaac Hayes after they backed him on the Shaft soundtrack. Ben definitely has a story to tell being the only survivor on that fateful plane crash that killed Otis Redding and his bandmates in 1967. Don't laugh at my funk
