I've always thought the Jackson family were a beautiful looking family, every last one of them. Sadly, they like so many Black people still, believe other people definition of beauty. You've disfigured your face trying to look like something you never will and in the process you've fucked up your face. Funny thing, everyone pretends you haven't.....
Self hatred is a sickness. That applies to all of them that have gone under the knife. ===== [Edited 4/23/10 15:32pm]

I'm not saying I'm always satified with the way I look but I still like the way I look at times and won't ever changed that.

Self hatred is a sickness. That applies to all of them that have gone under the knife. What "definition?" Many dark skinned broad nosed dark skinned black men are incredibly handsome in my eyes. Michael was not one of them. If ppl who have plastic surgery hate themselves, then ppl who perm and straigthen their hair must feel that way as well. A perm is completely unatural. There is no way, in nature, that an afro woman will have STRAIGHT hair. So do those women hate themselves as well? Anyone who changes themselves through non natural means should get thrown under the "self-hatred" tag as well.

sleepyq said: 1. Oh, please. I'm sick of this "black is beautiful" thing. Its not about whether MJ was black or not, or even if his nose was big. Usher's nose is wide and he's dark brown skinned, yet that didn't stop him from beign a huge sex symbol, did it?
MJ IN PARTICULAR had a very big nose that didn't look good on his face. His feautures were delicate, and the big nose was not attractive on HIM. I dont see how anyone could say he looked best natural. Its the snobbery thing about plastic surgery. NO, ppl dont look best natural. For the most part, work makes ppl look BETTER. MJ's surgery up to 1983 was a major upgrade, I'm tired of the snobbery over his nosejobs. 2. Agree to disagree. I cant convince u someone was attractive, but his natural face was far more appealing than MJ's. I'll leave it at that. You're comparing Usher's mug to this? I regret to have to mock Usher's natural facial structure like you are Michael's, but, well, based on what I've seen/heard, Usher's "sexiness" has always only been from the neck down. With his face in the late 70s, Michael was viewed as a "sexy symbol" too, with not one muscle anywhere (totally scrawny), so his face/smile was apparently attractive to many. Take away Usher's built-up body, and unlike Mike, he would have faded away long ago. Michael was at least still called "cute" in '75-78. Usher is never regarded as that. Sorry, but Usher is not a good comparison for your argument. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

Night Ranger outrocks anyone on the scene today.
Nirvana killed rock. Today's alleged "rockers" all use 1,000 times too much crunch in their guitar sound. Today's alleged rock singers all sound like they're weepy California waifs who sob constantly. Taylor Swift is an extremely talented songwriter.

And attractive to whom, exactly? Have u looked at chart stats? His work with his original grown up face did not set the charts on fire. The Jacksons only enjoyed one top 10 hit. They werent exactly setting the charts on fire "all natural" You'd think a "sex symbol" would have more chart success than that, don't u? He didnt blow up as an adult until Off the Wall, and his nose was ALREADY DONE in the 1st video, Dont Stop Til You Get Enough. Try again.

Heh....now you trying to tell me what to do....With that picture of Usher you just posted, you need to stop trying. Again, another bad comparison. The Jacksons were not solo Michael Jackson. When he got his own unique sound in '79, that pushed him up the charts on its own. And you don't know what would have happened with Off The Wall if Mike had not changed his nose. His nose wasn't the only thing that was different. His hair, clothes, songs, videos, lack of brothers, all of that was new and exciting. His nose didn't make that album, lol. But we all know how Usher is starting to slip out of mainstream attention/popularity without taking his shirt off anymore. Everyone's preference isn't gonna be the same as yours..what you might find "ugly" others might find beautiful...simple as that.

I said he would never have reached Thriller heights without doing his nose. Thriller heights, as in... King of Music Videos, image based music, pop icon, most fanous person on earth, breaking barriers of race... yeah- Off the Wall may have happened without a nosejob, but not Thriller. Definitely not Thriller. He needed a more commercial look for all that, and he got it. Thats MY take, and I'm stickin with it. Oh, and on what planet is Usher losing popularity on? His current single song, OMG is currently the #1 song in the UK and New Zeland, and is currently #3 on US itunes (probably #1 on BB100 by next week), his album is still in the top 5 and has reached gold status, and he has 3 songs in the R&B top 20, one being #2. And yes, he did it with his shirt ON. 2 Strikes.

And let's see how his concert attendance looks when/if he goes on tour, lol. I have a feeling that will be slacking. At first, Usher was an MJ-emulator with ripped muscles, which brought in the crowd. Now, he's an MJ-emulator who wears suits. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see the Usher excitement like I used to. So now, we're both just assuming. You think MJ wouldn't have become "Thriller Mike" without changing his nose. I think Usher would not have become popular at all without building-up his perfect-looking figure. But alas, neither of us will ever know, lol.
