Many dark skinned broad nosed dark skinned black men are incredibly handsome in my eyes. Michael was not one of them.

If ppl who have plastic surgery hate themselves, then ppl who perm and straigthen their hair must feel that way as well. A perm is completely unatural. There is no way, in nature, that an afro woman will have STRAIGHT hair. So do those women hate themselves as well? Anyone who changes themselves through non natural means should get thrown under the "self-hatred" tag as well.

I regret to have to mock Usher's natural facial structure like you are Michael's, but, well, based on what I've seen/heard, Usher's "sexiness" has always only been from the neck down. With his face in the late 70s, Michael was viewed as a "sexy symbol" too, with not one muscle anywhere (totally scrawny), so his face/smile was apparently attractive to many. Take away Usher's built-up body, and unlike Mike, he would have faded away long ago. Michael was at least still called "cute" in '75-78. Usher is never regarded as that. Again, another bad comparison. The Jacksons were not solo Michael Jackson. When he got his own unique sound in '79, that pushed him up the charts on its own.

And you don't know what would have happened with Off The Wall if Mike had not changed his nose. His nose wasn't the only thing that was different. His hair, clothes, songs, videos, lack of brothers, all of that was new and exciting. His nose didn't make that album, lol. But we all know how Usher is starting to slip out of mainstream attention/popularity without taking his shirt off anymore.

And let's see how his concert attendance looks when/if he goes on tour, lol. I have a feeling that will be slacking. At first, Usher was an MJ-emulator with ripped muscles, which brought in the crowd. Now, he's an MJ-emulator who wears suits. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see the Usher excitement like I used to.

So now, we're both just assuming. You think MJ wouldn't have become "Thriller Mike" without changing his nose. I think Usher would not have become popular at all without building-up his perfect-looking figure. But alas, neither of us will ever know, lol.
