Here abandoned in my fame Armageddon of the brain KGB was doggin' me Take my name and just let me be Then a begger boy called my name Happy days will drown the pain On and on and on it came And again, and again, and again... Take my name and just let me be HEAVY stuff And hey, everybody can ATTEMPT an "I'm hurt" song whatever, if it moves you,,,,,mission accomplished Even though I'm a longtime fan, I was just starting to really look at his lyrics when he died shit like Jam The World Keeps Changing
Rearranging Minds And Thoughts Predictions Fly Of Doom The Baby Boom Has Come Of Age To Work It Out I Told My Brothers Don't You Ask Me For No Favors I'm Conditioned By The System Don't You Talk To Me Don't Scream And Shout She Pray To God, To Buddha Then She Sings A Talmud Song Confusions Contradict The Self Do We Know Right From Wrong I Just Want You To Recognize Me In The Temple You Can't Hurt Me I Found Peace Within Myself Money So you call it trust
But I say it's just In the devil's game Of greed and lust They don't care They'd do me for the money They don't care They use me for the money So you go to church Read the Holy word In the scheme of life It's all absurd They don't care They'd kill for the money Do or dare The thrill for the money You're saluting the flag Your country trusts you Now you're wearing a badge You're called the "Just Few" And you're fighting the wars A soldier must do I'll never betray or deceive you my friend but... Tabloid Junkie In the hood
Frame him if you could Shoot to kill To blame him if you will If he dies sympathize Such false witnesses Damn self righteousness In the black Stab me in the back In the face To lie and shame the race Heroine and Marilyn The headline stories of All your glory It's slander and to write something like Little Susie when he was 21 years old.... He, Prince, and Stevie make me want to step my songwriting up "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Oh, and Omarion is a better technical dancer than MJ ever was. Now, you're trying to get cut. Seriously... MJ has NEVA danced so hard. It is what it is. [Edited 4/21/10 17:17pm]

Kirk Franklin's brand of gospel music is just hip hop with the name Jesus thrown in from time to time If it ain't Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Mahalia, Marion Williams, 1970s Clarke Singers,,,,I ain't got NOTHING to do with it. and don't forget Mighty Clouds of Joy and Shirley Ceasar

All the positivity that surrounds Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous NOW is retrospective. It was all negative when these records first came out. Thriller's reviews were, at least, positive And after the Billie Jean videoclip and the album's huge success, all the white critics of this planet celebrated Thriller as the next best thing in the world since color TV... I surely don't care what they think, Thriller was never my favorite album from him anyway and besides, except for Billie Jean, a lot of those songs were kind of immature.

Bell Biv Devoe's music trumped Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, and Johnny Gill's solo works
The Neptunes are better than Timbaland George Michael's music with Wham! was more fun than his later work as a solo work PM Dawn got a raw deal, especially with the KRS One incident "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I mean, he is a wonderful melodic writer. Where did the tunes go? Writers should never pander to critics. George went wrong with that one, yes he did.

Janet is 100% choreopgraphy. MJ did freestyle, but he just wasn't as agile as some of his copycats. Omarion backflips, splits, breakdances... he can streetdance. MJ could NOT do that. He may have been able to, but he never did, so I'll assume he couldn't.

He tried the jerkin' fad but since it's passing quickly already..... All good albums but.... I have all the radio remixes of Older. I'm sure the original was a snoozefest, but not the dance remixes. The sad thing is... the best track on LWP is a cover. ... Also he has a problem of making songs like 2 minutes longer than they need to be.

I'm sure these ppl were very great at what they did BACK THEN, but what was new and fresh back then would not be impressive TODAY. MJ spun, kicked, and did the moonwalk. He never even did splits. I mean, stylisticly, he was ace (thats why hes so imitated) but technically, he wasnt doina anything amazing. ... oh, and Justin shouldnt even be considered in a convo about dancers. If we bring in JT, why not just throw P Diddy into the mix as well?
