Whatever Happened 2 all the rap Groups?

Hey,
Speaking of rap groups such as beastie boys, public enemy, and run dmc ... whatever happen to rap groups these days?
Most Rappers/MC's r solo. They're solo and they have a crew behind them... i can only think of two rap groups of the moment, The Roots and Slum Village, but that's about it. It ain't like no mainstream rap groups out there 2day? Where are they?

like with R&B Funk bands the Rap group hardly lasts because the Money is Greener if you are solo&it's harder too feed 3-5 heads than it is too feed one Big EGO.look at Wu tang Clan?it's tough too hold that together.also the Labels are going after a whole Label&a crew of Acts as too battles&the industry structure with Rap is so different than it was 15 Years ago let alone 5 years ago.Rap is always flipping another script&chapter.

out of them only Outkast has a real chance too last.Westside Connection is only as good as Ice Cube can sell it?nowadays it's all films mainly with Him.Jurassic 5 is alright kinda a low-budget Blackeyed Pee's IMHO.Big TYmers all tied within Cashmoney&that boat is almost done.N.E.R.D is more known in the long haul for Producing.Sugar Hill gang for Novelty sake more than anything.D-12 only because the Eminem connection.they aren't gonna last.Bone thugs&harmony: aside from fans they are done.the novelty wore off&got clone&now they can't even get a Burger King Jingle.it was cool while it lasted.the Bottom Line is that Record Companys want a Puffy,Jermaine Dupri,Dr.Dre,Manny Fresh,Timberland,Swizz Beats,Neptunes,etc... pushing out Labels&Prodcuign Acts as too Pushing out Groups in Rap as compared too the past IMHO.

Pete Nice graduated from Columbia. I can't remember which year, and I never saw him on campus, but when I learned that he was a student I looked up his photo in the yearbook.

I wonder who would win in a rap battle? MC Search or Eminem?
