It seems the hairstyle was an unofficial member of each group.

That being said...

Tony Toni Tone
Guy
Ralph Tresvant
Keith Sweat
Johnny Gill
Bell Biv & Devoid

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I don't want 2 do it because I only REALLY like 3 or those albums.

I do know that the Keith Sweat and the Ralph Tresvant albums are at the bottom of the list. I didn't really like those that much. Ralph is rock bottom. As for a favorite, I can't really do that. The other choices are so different that I couldn't rank them fairly.

I was so disappointed with that album. Especially after the good albums that Johnny and BBD released, I was expecting a good album from Ralph. What I got was a bunch of garbage.

Really?

I'll take "Just Another Lonely Night" or "Lady Dijor" on Johnny's album over "Let's Chill". I like "Let's Chill", but it's on my "i don't care if I ever hear it again" list.

I liked the way you've ranked them. But I would swap Tony,Toni, Toni's 3rd place with Johnny Gil and move him up one rank.

Yep. JG's album and arguably TTT's are the only ones on the list without a filler track.

Lady Dujour is my fav Johnny Gill track. Great showcase of vocals.

Definately not the type of stuff I was listening to in the year 1990.

BBD, because of all of the groups listed, they were the only one who we've haven't really heard of outside of the occassional Ricky Bell lead with NE.
Poison, to me, proved that they could do it on their own w/o copying the NE thang. I knew what Ralph and Johnny sounds like. Guy and T3 had their moments with me (moments as in slow songs classics), but again of those listed BBD would easily be my #1 and Ralph is definitely at the bottom of my list.

Oh, Jesus, I forgot all about Keith Sweat. Again, I would list him with the provens Guy and T3. Slow Song Classics.

It's uneven, sure, but I don't think it sucks. The 4 singles are all good to great (although the remix versions of "Stone Cold Gentleman" and "Rated R" are superior) and I've always enjoyed "Last Night."
