"Tearin' It Up" by Chaka Khan

One of my favorites from Chaka Khan after she went solo. Let's tear it up in here!

I really don't hear whats the big deal about this song to be honest, her fans eat it up like a the first thing they inhaled in 3 days. But she did TWO killer tracks from the same album....

She sang from the core of her pussy when she did Be Bop Medley headbang

I've always preferred this remixed version over the original album version.

I didn't know Larry Laven remixed her music. I thought he only did "Clouds",,,,,did he remix anything else for her?

I agree, this remix is slayin' love

Mong

"Best In The West" is the best track on that album.

"Tearin' It Up"'s always seemed a bit pervy to me...the line "I'm gonna make you wish that there were two of you"...

This is the original remix released in 1983. It can be found on a CD called "Chaka Khan Dance Classics", along with the instrumental version of the remix.

It's not posted on youtube anymore but Chaka performed "Tearin' It Up" on Late Night With David Letterman back in 1982. It was so funny because she got some of the verses mixed up and was singing them at the wrong time. lol However, she sounded so amazing doing it! biggrin She blamed it on the band by saying they changed the arrangment on her. lol

This whole album is brilliant. But, I especially love "Best in the West," "Be Bop Medley" and "Pass it On (A Sure Thing)."
