Don't u mean 2morrow? They show "different" episodes every day. The only thing is, they are the ones we've seen in the last 2 or 3 years.

Centric needs to get it in gear. There is no reason they cannot pul out some rarities. I wonder though, if they really do have access to all of Soul Train's eps-say, maybe old Donny has specified some eps will never be shown.

I agree. If they only had 5 or 10 years worth of episodes, I could understand repeating episodes. But these people have 30 years of episodes and almost 20 years of ST Awards performances. Come on, Centric, get it together.

They NEED to show Marvin's 1977 and 1983 episodes. I loved the '77 one because not only did he do both parts of "Got to Give It Up" but he also did the songs from "I Want You" and even played a game of basketball with Don (with Smokey as the ref lol ) I think that's on the DVD (the basketball game). And his '83 one because Nona presented him and he did a lot of songs from Midnight Love and it was titled "A Tribute to Marvin Gaye". nod

It's starting to look like they only gave Centric access to a few episodes (the ones they showed a few months ago) and the episodes they gave to WGN a few years ago. WGN did a much better job airing the episodes because they didn't slice them up the way Centric has been doing. WGN aired them almost the way they originally aired.

around 1987.

Speaking of "her", before I went to work this afternoon, I was sitting in the tub taking a bath with the radio playing the "Lunchtime Oldies" hour on the stereo downstairs. Her remake of "Greatest Love Of All" came on and I sat in the tub for a minute. It was ruining my mood so I got out of the tub butt nekkid, dripping wet, went down the stairs and turned the damned stereo off. I had forgotten that my downstairs blinds were open. I hope no one saw me. lol

The only version I like is George Benson's. As for the other remakes, hell, I like Sexual Chocolate's version better than their's. lol

It's interesting how so many of her hit songs are actually remakes. She and Clive Davis were clever....in many cases, they picked songs that weren't "hits" the first time around,so when people heard Whitney's remake, they assumed that it was really her song,lol...

examples...

"Saving All My Love For You" was a flop 1978 single by Marilyn McCoo.

"Just The Lonely Talking Again" was originally recorded by the Manhattans.

"I Believe In You And Me" was originally recorded by the Four Tops.

Yeah, "I Will Always Love You", her version being a bigger hit than Dolly Parton's. She did Annie Lennox's "Step by Step" in '96. But I think since '98 her remakes haven't caught on as much:

"I Used to Love Him (Her)"
"You Light Up My Life"
"A Song for You"

Damn, she did alot of remakes! lol

I really like her version of the Isley Brothers' "For The Love Of You" music It sounds lush and exotic.
