THE BOOMERANG SOUNDTRACK I forgot how good the music was for this movie. The film featured hits like:
Johnny Gill's "There You Go" Toni Braxton's "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" Anyone know who sung that Reversal of a Dog song? That jam was tight!

I remember this soundtrack was released in the summer of 1992....around the same time that Jam and Lewis' 'Mo Money' soundtrack was released. So the media tried to create this "Battle of the Super Producers",pitting Jam and Lewis agaisnt the red-hot LA and Babyface team, lol.
I'd have to say that...LA and Babyface won this one 'Boomerang' is a superb soundtrack, while I can't even remember too much from the 'Mo Money' soundtrack.

This is the soundtrack that set the standard for what a modern day movie soundtrack should be. Toni Braxton owes a very big thank you to Anita Baker, for not being able to connect with Face for this album. Not since "Superfly", has their been such a more cohecive sountrack. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I really enjoyed the soundtrack but the best song from the movie was the Boomerang reprise by Marcus Miller.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I was just going to post about a piece of music that comes on when Eddie Murphy was staring at a tv by himself. I have been looking for this a long time. Thanks!! We gonna come on with the come on, gonna get down with the get down!

It's so calming and mellow. Never knew which Miller album it was on (pissed that it wasn't on the sdtk). I gave up on it until someone here posted it awhile back. It was billed to the LaFace Cartel. It included the label's acts Damian Dame, Highland Place Mobsters, TLC, and Toni Braxton. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I still dug the Mo Money soundtrack better as it contained more uptempo songs. It had Caron Wheeler's I Adore You, Luther,Janet, and NE members with The Best Things In Life Are Free, Big Daddy Kane w/LoKey A Job Ain't Nuttin But Work,Public Enemy Get Off My Back,Ralph Tresvant Money Can't Buy Me Love, and ballads by Johnny Gill Let's Just Run Away,Mint Condition My Dear. I know i'm in the minority but i just dug this soundtrack better top to bottom. Don't laugh at my funk

Grace Jones is in the house! It's dated, but I like it. Soundtrack might be worth buying.

The two soundtracks were a friendly competition between Jam & Lewis and L.A. and Babyface. I was never a fan of the latter team so I never bothered buying Boomerang.
