The O'Jays are definitely far from Unsung.

George Clinton too.

Musical Youth were one-hit wonders. lol

But I love to see Tammi Terrell, Teddy Bear, Heatwave and Angela. nod

To be honest, DeBarge (in some degree), Phyllis, Donny, and the Clark Sisters were legends, so were the people they covered since. They had some kind of influence. There could be some politics about why some acts won't be covered.

They know his P-Funk period, not the early years or what happened after he peaked. Hell Bootsy is famous for the P-Funk period and he was covered.

Yeah, they already did Bootsy and now George Clinton, what next Bernie Worrell Unsung. If any P-Funk member should get an Unsung, his name is Eddie Hazel. Unsung Guitar God.

Yes, Eddie was no joke. Billy Preston needs an Unsung as well.

I've seen one of his live shows and he was stoned. I saw Charlie Wilson with the Gap Band in 96 when he just came out of rehab. Everyone in the audience saw
something was wrong with Charlie as he walked gingerly back and forth
across the stage. I was always told that Charlie smoked serious weed in
the 80's. I didn't believe it until he admitted it years later that he
had a drug problem

I would like to see one on "Bill Withers". He, like Stacy Lattisaw, left the business on his own terms.

Actually, there's a GOOD documentary about him, shorttrini nod

Its an indie docu-film, so you might catch it in the IFC theatres(if you're in NYC) or do like I do and wait for the DVD to be released.

And while we're at it, go 'head and pick up Billy Paul's documentary Am I Black Enough For You? on DVD, you're gonna enjoy this one as well.

I have seen that film, I have IFC on Direc TV and they have shown it. Those are two people that they should do.

I think it was him becoming disillusioned by showbiz, not to mention he wanting to spend more time with is family. I guess that is what it was.
