Unsung with Stacy Lattisaw Did anyone catch this last night? I thought it was pretty good. Especially since I didn't know that much about her background. Like so many "Unsung" episodes, the stories didn't really flow as well as they could have and there were a few holes.
What I found out (that I didn't know) was that she opened up for the Jacksons. They didn't say if it was for the Triumph or Destiny era, though. She didn't really give us any new information about MJ or the brothers. All she mentioned was how sweet he and his brothers were and how much she enjoyed talking with them after the show, especially MJ. Did u guys catch it? **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yeah, Stacy opened for them during the Triumph Tour "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I think I DVR'd it, so I'll watch it and give my view later. I've always wondered what happened to her. It was like she vanished.. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I remember reading that in some magazine. What shocked me was that "Where Do We Go From Here" was her only number one and she didn't receive any royalties for the song. She was told by Motown that the record only sold 30,000 copies. Now, we know that ain't true. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I love all her earlier stuff both fast and slow but "Where Do We Go From Here" was just horrible. But then again, it was the late 1980s and adult contemporary ruled. Andy is a four letter word.

And Johnny Gill goes to church on that song!

When she did the last video from her last album, she said how they wanted her to dance, but she couldn't do it. She never could learn the choreography for the video, so they centered her lack of dancing around the plot of the video. Puff Daddy had to assist her to learn the moves. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

That's another thing I didn't like about the late 1980s....all that damn choreographed dancing. It was like watching a damn Broadway show. Hell, just shake ass and get down like folks did before Michael Jackson made it big in music videos. Do it up like Evelyn "Champagne" King, that heffer could throwdown dancing. Andy is a four letter word.

Before this thread's locked ( ), I didn't particularly like "Where Do We Go From Here?" much either, not because of that adult contemporary sound (though that didn't make it any better), but because they kept playing it over and over and over and over and... I was five and in my mind I was screaming "TURN THAT SONG OFF! "
