Daaamn! I remember my older brothers bumpin the hell out of these songs! Growing up in LA (in a blood neighborhood) this was like our theme song.

Ice-T´s 6 N Tha Mornin´ came out WAAAAAY before the Bloods and Crips record came out.And before that, there was Schooly D´s PSK-What Does It Mean? ( On which Ice-T´s 6 N Tha Mornin´ was loosely based, as he admitted in 1998).

Say what you want about Ice-T but he is one of the TRUE Hip Hop artists from day one, a true Zulu and Hip Hop pioneer, and the first artist to do the Crip walk on stage.The genius in his lyrics of songs like Squeeze The Trigger and Pain and 6 N Tha Morning can´t be denied.
And don´t forget about Icecube and the Stereo Cru and CIA....those came out before Icecube wrote lyrics for NWA.

Ice-T´s 12"s came out in 1985, his first 12" in 1982 ( produced by no other than Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and his 6Ntha Morning 12" was produced by Afrika Islam, a true hip hop legend).
