George Michael - your favorite albums

The other day I've found my old vynil copy of George Michael's "Listen without Prejudice vol.1", and after a few "new" listenings I still love this album; back then it was different from all the Wham stuff and "Faith", and IMHO today still stays as something different, but yet similar, to his last albums.

[ And, wow, this album is 20 years old - time flies! ]

1."Praying for Time"
2."Freedom! '90"
3."They Won't Go When I Go"
4."Something to Save"
5."Cowboys and Angels"
6."Waiting for That Day"
7."Mothers Pride"
8."Heal the Pain"
9."Soul Free"
10."Waiting (Reprise)"

Singles from this album: Praying for Time, Waiting for That Day, Freedom 90, Heal the Pain and Cowboys and Angels cloud9

... And this made me search for my Five Live EP...

1."Somebody to Love"
2."Killer"
3."Papa Was a Rollin' Stone"

4."These Are the Days of Our Lives"
5."Calling You"

Love every song on it! cool

These are my favorite albums - and yours?

Listen Without Prejudice is my favourite George Michael album. Fantastic for playing acoustic guitar to also, I have the PVG book and love to strum along. Lots of fairly easy chord driven songs on there.
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I loved "Faith", but didn't like "Listen" when i got it. But after some time, i fell in love with that album. I still listen to it now and than.
(btw, i wished he had finished part II of the album, the tracks i heard from that album are pretty amazing)

Mine is "Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1." "Heal the Pain" is my absolute favorite GM song.

1. Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1
2. Faith
3. Older
4. Patience

The first 2 are phenomenal. The third is excellent. The fourth is pretty good, but it pales in comparison to the others.

Can't say that I had a favorite album, per se. But if you are asking about singles too, then I have plenty of those.
1. I Want Your Sex
2. Father Figure (favorite)
3. Careless Whispers (I know, but I had to include it)
4. Anything She Wants (again, I know)
5. This song came out the same time as Father Figure I believe, but I don't know the name. In the song, he said something like "Ain't no joy for a uptown boy? whose teacher has told him goodbye..."
6. Freedom
7. And finally there was the song about being "too funky for me"

It's funny how you can really like a song, but know what the name of it is. lol

Older is dark but a fine album. TwentyFive is worth mentioning too.

I fixed those two for you.

One More Try

6. Freedom

The one by Wham! or '90 by George? I love 'em both.

7. And finally there was the song about being "too funky for me"

1. Faith: third best album of the 80s nod

2. Listen Vol1: a bold album. It's too bad that this LP didn't set a trend in mainstream pop/rock...it sounds "serious" but playful at the same time...but of course, some months later the grunge explosion changed everything (for better or worse...who knows)

3. Patience: fresh sound and future classics here and there; but pretty uneven if you ask me...

4. Older: very smooth production, but the material isn't there confused I only enjoyed three of four cuts confused
