Greatest pop songwriters of all time?

Who would you pick?

Smokey Robinson?
Diane Warren?
Prince?
Michael Jackson?
Burt Bacharach & Hal David?
Lennon/McCartney?

all of them

I'd add The Corporation and Holland Dozier Holland

Oops, meant to have Stevie on my list too!

Good picks bboy! As 'I Want You Back' is one of the most iconic and greatest pop songs of all time, there's definitely room for The Corporation on this list.

All good choices and I'm sure their are others. I'd like to throw Freddie Mercury into the mix as well. People dismiss Queen's music as campy, but he had an ear for a good tune.

Gamble and Huff get blatantly underrated by everyone.

VERY underrated, the guy had so many gems sometimes it's EASY to take for granted that he also wrote 'em all considering the time period he was famous in.

lol I love Diane Warren. Probably one of the most popular songwriters of the last 20 years or so (as opposed to greatest), but then, old school songwriters like herself are virtually extinct now compared to many years ago.

I think she should get a pass.
