This is an interesting lawsuit considering how many event Suge hosted where drama ensued:

Knight, founder of Death Row Records and promoter of some of rap's biggest acts, was shot in the right leg in August 2005 by a still-unknown assailant at the ultra-trendy Shore Club. West was hosting the party before the MTV Video Music Awards held that year in Miami.

No one has ever been arrested, and like many other shootings in the rap world, police found few witnesses although the club was packed with partygoers, including celebrities Jessica Alba, Eddie Murphy, The Black Eyed Peas and Paris Hilton. At least six shots were fired, police said.

More than four years later, Knight is claiming in a lawsuit that West and the Shore Club's owners failed to provide security necessary to keep out people with weapons. Knight's attorney, Marc Brumer, said Tuesday that Knight had $200,000 in medical bills from a gunshot that shattered his femur and will seek total damages of well over $1 million.

"He's an icon in the music industry. He walks in a room and he lights it up," Brumer said. "He had an expectation of security there. How someone came with a gun into a very VIP party, that just doesn't meet the smell test in life."

U.S. District Judge Patricia Seitz has scheduled a Dec. 6 trial date in Miami.

if Suge Knight needs more security around him than everyone else, it's his own doing and his own responsibility to provide it. if Suge needs to stop by Walgreens for some dish soap and a disposable camera, it's not on the store to make sure they hire extra security for those 20 minutes because Suge Knight has made himself a walking target.

I'd also like to know if Suge himself or any of his entourage was able to walk in with a gun. if so, fuck him and his bitch ass whining.

Suge is such a joke now. He's ran out of options to get money and so now he's going to sue Kanye regarding an event that happened, not one, not two, but FOUR YEARS AGO????!!!???? WTF???? Hasn't his stature of limitations passed? And further more, if the case rules in Kanye's favor (that is if it isn't dropped first), what is Suge going to do? Go the studio and record diss tracks against Kanye? Show up at award shows and threaten Kanye for the money? This is too much. Apparently someone was out to get Suge Knight, I'm sure he has plenty of enemies....but whoever it was, for them to only have hit him in his thigh, seems like they were just playing with him.

Sorry, but I hold Kanye at much higher candle than Suge Knight. The two don't compare. If hasn't been said a million times already, yes Kanye is an asshole, but he doesn't try to intentionally provoke fear and threaten people. While I only want to slap Kanye sometimes, it wouldn't bother me at all if the news reported that Suge Knight had died. Sadly, I'm sure there PLENTY who feel that way too.
