R&B star Faith Evans has been ordered to pay more than $360,000 in unpaid taxes, according to a report.

The hitmaker, who is attempting a career comeback after a five-year absence, has been hit with both federal and state demands from tax officials over missing payments.

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a $36,360 lien in New York on March 4th, and another was submitted in Los Angeles for $119,821 in February.

Evans is also said to owe the state of New Jersey $204,000, according to the Detroit News.

It's the latest setback for the star, who is being sued by moviemakers for allegedly failing to provide the film footage they purchased of her late husband, The Notorious B.I.G., for a documentary.

whats up with all these celebrities and not paying their taxes?? you would think that with the millions of dollars that they make off of their entertainment that they would at least be able to afford to pay off their taxes its getting ridiculos

Other celebs have been in this position before. Faith will probably just file for bankruptcy like they did. Then she just might tour overseas because it seems like so many black entertainers are more successful in foreign countries. That's how she'll pay her bills.

I think the music biz is not like, say, my job which sends me a W2 at the end of the year & makes takes out taxes at every check, they have to get good accountants. Still, no excuse! They make a lot of money.

I believe Toni Braxton said that's the reason why she went bankrupt. She thought that her lawyers/accountants were on top of things. She didn't find out what was going on until it was too late. Mariah Carey has also complained about the fact that she got screwed over by her accountant in the past.

yeah, I don't need an accountant because it's very clear what my earnings are and the deductions are handled by my employer.

I like tax time, I get a little check from the government. But my friends who do their own taxes & pay at the end of the year routinely have very depressing Aprils

But I don't have that much sympathy. Faith Evans has more resources to learn about Charles Schwab than most people on this earth.

Isn't she planning to do a reality show? That may bring in a few more bucks

Her production company is still shopping the series to networks. It has not been picked up and green lighted as yet.

I have no sympathy for them. If you make it big here you should pay big, but not too much.
