Breakout by Swing Out Sister...WOW I would have gone thru life having completely without hearing it on my cable's music channel.
as cheesy as it is...I'm glad I didn't go through life having not heard it again. Edit: lol...it was followed up by that Rick Ashtley song and then Let's go crazy. Guess the format... [Edited 4/3/10 13:53pm]

They released a new version on their last album (which I thought was a cheesy sell out till I heard the song):

:swoon: I don't mean to be rude. But after the first 45 seconds of THAT^ remake, I decided to bring back the original! Some tracks are better off uptempo than other.

[Edited 4/3/10 13:53pm] That live cut is even cooler, because Level 42's Mark King is accompanying on bass. Always loved this song and SOS's great sound. And to comment on someone else's post... SOS and Basia have a very similar style, not to mention the fact that Corinne Drewery and Basia sound very similar. So I can understand how people can mistake one for the other.

yeah! That's the cover of that oldie but goodie instrumental with the vox slapped back on! I always loved that cut but never knew the name of it..."Soulful Strut".

They got a smokin live version in which they break into EWF's Sun Goddess towards the end. Their live band is FUNKY!! Katie Kinisky: "So What Are The Latest Dances, Nell?"
Nell Carter: "Anything The Black Folks did Last Year"

Oh, they are touring the US this year BTW. Sadly, no West Coast dates. Space for sale...
