Oh this is SO WEIRD to see this thread pop up right now...
This song has been in heavy rotation here for the last 2 weeks, actually. I LOVE Marlon's guitar solo at the end of this one. It was a fun time in live music here in Portland when they were runnin around. Great players even today. Funk Is It's Own Reward | |

LOL...yeah...Lorber is another of that whole Portland ?Seattle funk thang from the late 70's / 80's.
Marlon (among MANY projects) dropped one solo album in '81 ("Changes"....on the Fantasy label, 1981). He has also been a member of the Dazz Band since '87 or so. Talented cat.... Funk Is It's Own Reward | |
