Songs with GREAT scratching!

I don't listen to much hip hop nowadays, but one thing I miss are DJs who really know how to work the turntables.

What songs have some of the best scratching?

"Rockit" from Herbie Hancock

"So Excited" by Janet, although I'm not a huge fan of the song, I can listen to it, and the scratching really ads a little rhythmic element to it.

"I Feel For You" by Chaka Khan

I don't listen to hip-hop either so i'm guessing this is great.

The only reason I know about this one is because it's a Herbie Hancock record.

...Rockit - LIVE

Regardless, Grandmixer DXT is a very cool cat and has more on the ball than just this.

I always thought EPMD was OK, but lately I'm really feeling this performance by their DJ K La Boss. He starts cutting it up at 3:48...

I like Herbie's song because it was truly original.

I am okay with Janet's song that uses some of the samples.

anyway i had to add that because dj scratch still wrecks a turntable. he always juggles his songs, block party style.

Best I've heard (analog mixing anyway) were the underground 12 inches from the mid 1980's.

We used to dance our young and bad asses off to this lp by 2 Live Crew when it first dropped. evillol

As far as the actual dance to this song, even Janet worked it in the video for "Pleasure Principle". In fact, for that video her choreographer she worked in quite a few of the hot urban dances at that time. But I digress...from the 1:30 mark to the end. headbang
