Not all fans are calling her a traitor and bashing her (well, you are on MJJC so.... lol )
many fans are on her side, they just feel she could've been clear when this incidents happened or do a no comment because we all know what Miss Sophia was looking for lol

and you're right, this was supposed to be about Janet's new project but like I said, Miss Sophia wasn't havin' that
[Edited 4/3/10 1:56am]

Well, a majority of them are and yea lol

I don't think Janet has to be specific about any incident. Its really none of our business. She did enough by even answering. If she said "no comment". Oprah would probably hiss and go in a rage lol Besides Janet has told her in the past to stop bringing him up but Oprah being hard headed - she doesn't listen.

I think with everything going on with the upcoming trial and the media trying to paint a picture of who Michael was, fans are just trying to know what happened. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that Michael died because of negligence and maltreatment, but you know how people can be when it comes to the Jacksons....

The majority of the fans on MJJC are pissed (when aren't they?!) but not all of us lol

No, its not surprising. But its disrespectful and Janet should speak up! I know it may not be that serious but I feel like Oprah is ignoring the legacy Janet made. Even though years ago, on that same couch she was trying to boost Janet's confidence about being an artist in her own right.

Yea, I get what you're saying. I agree. Janet shouldn't go on her show anymore.

I agree, let Oprah interview Gayle all she wants lol

It's true though. All this stuff about Tyler Perry being this great entrepreneur in black cinema... well how come if anyone else wants to see his movies, they have to illegally download them? Great business sense there, right. They don't even go straight to DVD.

I sorta like Oprah....BUT...this interview made me question her motives...I know that Janet agreed to talk about Mike...but "we all saw the Robin Roberts interview" and Oprah could have handled herself better..We know that she came on the show to promote "Why Did I Get Married Too"...so why did she keep talking about Mike and how Janet and the family is dealing with it?

Really Oprah...that was tacky...the elephant in the room was Mike..but ask once and let it go...how about asking about Janet's acting process and how she like Tyler as a director...as Oprah said "Tyler is a director, and Janet was the actress...I did not need to know that crew on the set "took care of her"..obviously they would/did...

Watching that 1998 Oprah interview, THAT was the Janet I was a fan of, and it was the last time she didn't completely infuriate me with ridiculous whispery giggles and ranting about sex all day long.

She could argue that she only answers what people ask her, but after the turn of the century, I genuinely think there was nothing interesting in her music or image so all there was was to dissect her dirty lyrics.

DAMN Oprah! What were you going for? A big breakdown full of tears? For her to continue to harp (no pun intended) on Mike like that, she was obviously going for the jugular. I was like, enough already! 16-20 mins Oprah? Really? What about the freakin movie? Janet is a consummate professional and all but she was quite generous that day.

Wow! I never saw that interview from '97. She really needed to put Op in her place. I'd like to think if Tyler wasn't close friends with Oprah, she might not have tolerated it as much. IDK. Is Janet that insecure now that she can't be the adult that she is, and put people in check? You can be professional and still enforce your boundaries. Her '97 interview is proof of that. Maybe she's still trying to get back in good graces with the American people. IDK.....

I love Janet sfm touched

With the way Oprah was bombarding her with all those questions, you can tell she was upset but still carried through. I admire her for that. Eh does Oprah think before she talks? She kept asking questions regarding his death even when they were supposed to discuss the movie. I guess she wanted to be the first to have some exclusive shit. But ended up with nada. Oh and I think Janet knew she was going to be asked about MJ knowing that its a Oprah interview. You can tell she was a bit uncomfortable when she first walked on to the set. Oprah said "Its going to be fun" and had a fake smirk on her face. I understand Janet's humble nature but she should step to these people and tell them that she doesn't want to discuss certain topics. I also noticed Oprah kept having footage of him shown at the show even when Janet clearly stated she can't see them and that's too soon. So disrespectful. But at the same time I'm sure people would've bitched if she ignored the big elephant in the room and discussed other things. The MJ fans are bitching about Janet - supposedly being a traitor and "not being clear about the interventions". Bitch, please! There's no pleasing you people.

sigh disbelief

Not all fans are calling her a traitor and bashing her (well, you are on MJJC so.... lol )

Janet can't go into detail (times, dates etc) of these interventions, cause there probably weren't any, the most hardcore MJ fans knew where he was at any given time and could prove her wrong straight away.

If Mike was that bad needing interventions and shit, he would not have had custody of those children, he'd have been ratted out for $'s by less trustworthy staff members. It's really that simple.

I can't imagine WHY anyone would be mad at Janet over this. She's sincere as sweet and well- meaning in this whether u didnt like what she had to say or not.

Can u imagine how frustrating it must have been to watch Michael go down the way he did? Please. She just said "he didnt listen" and its very obvious he did not. From destroying his face, to messin around with them kids, to the substance abuse... its a mess. He ended up shutting out all the ppl who cared and surrounding himself with leeches and enablers. Its hard to watch as a fan, can u inmqagine what it must've been like for his lil sis to watch him self destruct? Whatever... I'mn waitin for MOL to come in here and come at Janet over this.

I'm REALISTIC about the situation. I feel bad for Michael, because many ppl did him wrong, and am disgusted at the behavior of several of his family members, but at the end of the day, he was a grown ass man and he didnt need no fuckin babysitter.

Oh, and Oprah is a 2 faced cunt with no sense of integruty. She really needs to just keep MJ's name out of her mouth. Janet hates her too. I'm sure she's aware of all the grease O been throwin at MJ. It was written aLl over her face.

No, you're not. The last time MOL gave a shit about MJ and related stuff, she was a young innocent girl. I just don't care to persuade anyone anymore. I know I'm right, whether you do or not, is indifferent to me.

At the end of the day, she's lying. Like Mark said, hardcore fans can prove that to you word-by-word (which is something I've done at least 3 times in Prince.org, but you prefered to ignore and you know damn well why).

Slander the man's legacy with lies. Protect monsters like Randy, Joe and Jermaine and mentally handicapped people like Latoya while claiming MJ was a junkie.

I just have done my best to distance myself from the circus called Jackson. If his own fans reject to hear the facts (and Janet's claims certainly aren't facts like I've proved countless times), what else can I do? If his own family is transforming this into a big business what else can I do? So, sleepy-squeeky-or-whatever don't expect me to get involved in this, because I've run out of patience and my days don't allow me to waste time with the guy.

It's as simple as this: Michael will go down in history as a pedo-pervert-junkie-entertainer. Though I do not agree with this definition/conception (and could prove otherwise at any day of the week), that's the way people are gonna remember him. And I can't (nor do I want) change that. It's as simple as this. So, bottom line, stop saying my name! I've already written 3 posts proving that Janet is indeed lying. You know full well that I've done so, but your blinded eyes don't allow you to swallow that and I'm not going to waste my time writing them again. So, if you want an answer, go read them. Oh, you know what? You don't need to. This same Janet Jackson along with her family denied Michael was an addict one year and half ago. Justifying a relative's distance with calling him an addict is not so nice, but you can have it the way you want.

Nice interview I think it went well. It shed a lot of light on her relationship with Michael in his latter days, they were close growing up and kinda fell by the wayside as they grew older.

It was interesting to hear Janet say she walked outta the room full of emotion because she has dealt with issues of drug addiction in her relationships in the past? cool I noticed she never said whether it was her or her counterpart. The character in the movie fits Janet to the tee.

I saw the movie last night and I thought the script was full of real life drama, and it was not all peaches and glory! I enjoyed the movie. I wonder if Tyler Perry has read any Lynn Harris books? wink

It was her counterparts. Both of her marriages was filled with drug addictions from her partners. The stories of Janet going to the hood late at night. Here in LA in her BMW looking for James Debarge were true.

EXACTLY!

It must be a slap in the face to be there to promote your movie but all the host wanna talk about is your more famous sibling, gotta hurt!

If back in 97 Janet could say, 'I don't talk about my brother in interviews' what was stopping her from saying so now?

People will do what they need to do for themselves when it suits them I suppose.
