http://www.recordstoreday.com/Home

It's coming up and there are a lot of cool releases planned.

Check out the list: http://www.recordstoreday.com/Page/836

This was an expensive day for me last year. I'm a little worried. lol

I'm actually going to make an effort on this one.

Going to "Music Millenium" here in Portland. Not sure what I'll cop, but it's gonna be vinyl.

High-signs to all the crate diggahs!

Thanks for posting. I haven't been to a record store in months, looks like I have a reason to return.

I've never been to one. I'm kind of disappointed that the Pet Shop Boys will be releasing an exclusive single ONLY in the UK. I don't see anything on the US list that I'm interested in but in general I haven't been to a Record Store in a while so I should just pay a visit. I need to sell a lot of stuff but maybe I'll come on another day to do that.

I'm kind of lucky because there are at least 3 record stores within a short distance from me that I like and trust (although to be honest, I'm not 100% sure that Car City is still in business since when I checked if they were participating in Record Store Day, they weren't listed....they just might not be listed, though).

Dusty Groove has great stock and great prices. But unfortunately, when it comes to old Funk, Soul or Jazz, they only sell re-issues ... for a collector of original releases, Dusty Groove is rather useless ...

Hey, just wanted to respond to this. I'm one of the used buyers at Dusty Groove, and we actually sell more used records than we do reissues -- a huge amount of rare funk, soul, and jazz -- not just reissues. In fact, when we started, we only sold used vinyl -- and even now, we probably add about one to two thousand pieces of rare vinyl to our racks every week.

Based on last year's damage, that's a healthy response. lol

I just tell myself that it's an investment and try to forget that my collection will be worthless when the revolution happens.
