Kellie Pickler Folds Her Fan Club

Kellie Pickler is an artist known for putting her fans first, so it may come as a surprise to learn she has decided to discontinue her official fan club. Not to worry, it's actually for the better, according to the singer.

Kellie took to her website (KelliePickler.com) to personally explain to her fans why she is choosing to fold the fan club. "I want to thank you all for being such special fans and let you know that I've decided to make some changes to my website and fan club," she writes. "We're moving to a new website home in April ... part of the website changes will give you greater access to music, photos, videos and message boards. I have felt for awhile that everyone should have access to these features without having to pay for it as a fan club member. So, as part of the website changes, we're closing the Official Fan Club. I'm really excied about this new direction and that everyone can afford to be part of it!"

The new website is expected to launch in late April with more bells, whistles and access -- minus the fan club, which will officially close April 30. Arrangements have been made for a pro-rated refund of the remaining months on valid memberships.
In the meantime, Kellie is set to hit Detroit for a two-night stand with pal Taylor Swift beginning this Saturday (March 27).

now when ppl get a clue as to who the F she is, this might make even MORE sense. (i don't know her from a crack in the wall)

i wonder how she'd respond once she was 30 albums deep and over 5 major tours under her belt and her image and likeness all over the place being used however and by whomever.

I never said that everybody knew who she was, I DO believe I stated that she's new to the game.....

Hell who knows how she might be after 30 yrs. in the game??!! Maybe she will become jaded or maybe not. I would hope she would still treat her fans with the same dignity and respect she's doing now.

And as for the whole "image and likeness" being used "all over the place" statment....hey, it comes with the territory once you become a celebrity and you can't control EVERYBODY.

All I was sayin is that she's demonstrating how things SHOULD be done when it comes to a fan site and how you should treat your fans.

So in that regard, my post DOES make sense.
