1. Usher is not out of shape. He has a bigger frame than MJ, not everyone can be a skinny bitch.
2. The song is like whats hot on radio right now, the album tracks are much better and classic Usher
3. Usher is a great siunger, r u kidding me? I dont like the autotune, but stop playin

1. i never said he was out of shape. I said he was dancing like an out of shape Michael Jackson.

2. Don't care if it's hot on the radio, it's still awful.

3. If he's a great singer, he sure didn't prove that here. and when i said unnecessary singer, i meant Will.I.Am.

4. that's nice.

Except their work with Usher is actually shifting units. biggrin

Oh, and Mars vs Venus is one of the worst songs on the album. razz

Dunno about the album, but I'm sick of seeing him perform the SAME DAMN DANCE MOVES in every single video and every single TV performance. You know the one, where he stands in the middle front of some backup dancers and does some wide-legged stances and slow-motion arm movements. Seriously.

Well, MJ used to do that too and he is one of Usher's influnces, so there you go.

Exactly.

And at least Usher is making an effort to sing live. Y'all can hate on the vocals, but at least he's making an effort. Aslo, you'll never catch Usher in a ridicuklous gold space suit. biggrin

Bobby Brown was also one of Usher's influences. Ooh got a good story about what happened when Bobby & Usher locked horns one night. lol

Yeah. Actually, I think Usher is a bit like Britney. He is more like Bobby than like MJ. Just like Britney is more like Janet than like Madonna.

Chris Brown was a mini Usher. He said he wanted to be MJ, but he just seemed to fill the Usher void while Usher was away.

Some people don't know WHO they are copying. Usher takes off his shirt and gyrates his hips. He's way more sexual than MJ ever was. Usher is a Bobby Brown with a better voice and better material. The only blatant MJ thing Usher ever did was U Remind Me, which was a cross between The Way You Make Me Feel and the dance break in Black or White.

The evolution of his videos were on point: Thriller -> Smooth Criminal -> Remember the Time -> Scream. His video anthology from Beat It to They Don't Care About Us is varied, imaginative, and basically flawless.

But the performance rehashes were a mess. He literally changed NOTHING. the outfits, the sets, and then he started lipsynching more and more. At least Usher is tryong to change things up. Compare Usher now to how he was in "My Way." Totally different. Thats what being an artist should be about. EVOLUTION.

I never liked Thriller (the song) or the album for that matter, I always thought his best was OTW, but that's just me. And you're right, his performances never really changed. confused I will say Usher has come along way from being a teenager singing "Call me a Mack" on a Peotic Justice soundtrack. lol lol lol lol

I think MJ was overrated as a performer, tbh giggle

His videos were amazing, I think his videography is second only to Madonna's. But he didn't live up tot hat in the live performances.

And I'm in the minority, but I never cared for Off the Wall, I think its very overrated. I like Bad, Dangerous, and HIStory CD2 better. More personal. More passionate. He didn't write Off the Wall. It could've been any teenage singer singing those tracks. I've never been a fan of disco, anyway.

... And Usher has come a long way. Ppl need to stop givin my man a hard time. He's doin his damn thing. batting eyes

Might as well tell the story here...

Apparently Usher saw Bobby at a party. Usher made this thing about how Bobby influenced him and everything. He called Bobby to take pictures with him and shit. Anyway, they're taking pictures, then all of a sudden Bobby got offended over what Usher was doing, I don't know if he thought Usher was trying to choke him or what, but Bobby was not happy with this and he actually wrestled Usher to the ground, bodyguards had to take Bobby off him. Apparently he went screaming "that motherfucker trying to be me!" lol

I always thought Thriller and Bad were very overrated and besides many of his songs were not written by him at all. I stopped caring about Usher in 2004 when every damn person and they mama was making a fuss about him with Confession, which, imo, was boring, I only like two songs on that album anyway. Still he has come a long way.

LOL. Bobby is such an oversensitive bitch. Nobody gives a fuck about no fuckin Bobby brown! He's Mr. Whitney Houston! lol

I remember Perez Hilton asked him if he liked Britney's cover of "My Porogative" and he siad "it was terrible."

He should've been happy someone was shining some light on his long defunct music career! Dumb bitch! lol

Ummm, he wrote all but 2 of the songs on Bad. He wrote or co-wrote all but 2 of the songs on Dangerous. He wrote all but 1 of the new songs on HIStory, 2 of them being covers. Off the Wall is teenage disco that coulda been sung by any capable young singer. Not my thing.

I agree that Confessions was WEAK as hell. It wa so slow and everything was filler. Here I Stand was much better. Did u bother checking it out? I swear, its more like 8701 than like Confessions. It was a big imporvement. I'm currently jammin to the new album. Its really good. biggrin

Jimmy and Terry didn't make Usher. JD made Usher. His breakthrough album (My Way) was JD's brainchild. All of the projects he did with JD as executive producer were really good, it's after he stopped working with him that he started to really go down.
