Which group was better (vocals, music, lyrical content, stage pressence, longevity)?

They sound alike to me. Looking at old performances...they even dressed similiarly.

Anyways, it's hard choosing between these two, since I like both groups very much.
The Chi-Lites had had Eugene Record's excellent writing abilities and his unique tenor.
The Stylistics had the grand master himself, Thom Bell in their corner, coupled with top class Philly musicians and Russell Thompkins Jr.'s sublime tenor.
I guess if I had to pick one at gunpoint, I'd for the Stylistics
