I knew you'd eventually come around, your ears are too good.
Unfortunately this great box set by Mosaic (who always does things proper) is out of print... ...The Complete Capitol Recordings of the Nat King Cole Trio (18 CDs or 27 LPs) It originally sold for a little less than $300. This set has sold for $900-$600 on ebay auctions. Returning to reality, this one is OK and available... ...The World of Nat King Cole 28 tracks. The only downside is that The Christmas Song isn't on it. I have one of the Capitol comps that's pretty decent but can't find it at the moment. I'll let you know when I do. Speaking of which, "The Christmas Song" is on at least a million compilations, so that's not a big deal IMO. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis | |
