Since my friend hip me to him I've been trying to find out stuff about him and it's really hard. He did a good job of removing evidence of his "persona". I did find the video for Stoned pt 1 somewhere.
Btw P, you are one lucky dude to have been able to see him live! Did he play "Hit it and Quit it" then?

Some of my favorite tuines are actually B-sides and Rare trax ..they used to all be on his website before it disappeared...I'll orgnote you about those...actually, some of them were included on the US release of Stoned...stuff Like the Stylistic's Stop Look, Listen and the acoustic versions of Track and Song are on iTunes...But other tracks like Waves, Lewis III, A Little Bit Tasty, Cherry Blossom and GotMeThinkingAllAboutIt are rare classics, IMO...

Those acoustic tracks I believe were added on to the Lost Album which I have but since I can't get those others...well you know.

Pali and blackguitaritz hipped me to him years ago. The cat is unreal.

I always kinda dug his "off key" vocal style. That was kind of his signature.

Thank God he doesn't use Autotune. His wide slow vocal vibrato can make it seem like he's out of tune - but he isn't.

i've been digging him for just a few months now.

Thanks to a very benevolent Orger , and what i've been able to scrounge up on my own, i've got a great deal of his solo material.

The points expressed in the second link of paligap's earlier post in this thread pretty much lays out why he's gone underground. Some folks just want no parts of the "celebrity" component of the music biz (as opposed to others where it seems that's all they crave).
