DONNY HATHAWAY - Unreleased music never heard before!! It's been a while since I've posted in this forum to promote my radio show Midnight Soulstice ... but tonight's show might be something members of this forum might be interested in. We'll play a two-hour tribute to the late great Donny Hathaway.
You won't just get to hear most of his best material, but almost 30 minutes of previously unreleased music (live and studio recordings) never played on radio before!! Tune in tonight from 11 pm until 1 am Eastern on www.wrir.org For those of you who can't listen live I'll post the download some time this weekend.

Yes, the guy who put together the box set sent me the tracks a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't slot them in before today. It's a great set, I can't wait to get my copy. | |

This is one cool tribute! The 'No Other One But You' and 'The Essence of Destiny' demos are stellar. Hope there is more unreleased stuff that will surface in the future. What a timeless and unmatchable legacy he has left.  Check me out and add me on:

Donny was one of those cats that don't pass you everyday. Funny how the industry calls the average cat a "Genius" that word doesnt hold much weight. Donny was a true genius. As troubled as he was inside he used that pain through music. We miss you Donny, A part of me died that day when you moved on | |
