I met her years ago, right after her debut dropped. MAN, she is even MORE gorgeous in person, with her short self.. very pleasent as well. I have an autograph pic of her. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

you lucky dog! It was during "World Aids Day". My cousin and I heard that she was going to be a "checkout girl", at the HMV's in the city. Soul, when she walked up in that store, I nearly lost all bladder control. She had on black tights, black turtle neck sweater and a gray wool coat. Her hair was long and jet black and flowing...When I went to the register, to pay for, "A Love Surpreme,(what else), she came around the register, thanked me, signed the the CD and a picture. The she kissed me on the check! One of my canes fell to the floor and she bent down to pick it up, I just stood there like a damn fool with this look of bliss on my face...I have met many celebrities in my lifetime, but that is one day, that I will always remember.... Really? I had the biggest crush on Ms. Moore back in the day. Besides her looks, I've always thought she was overlooked. Back when 5 octave vocal ranges we're appreciated, you would've thought she would've sold more. I bought her first tape, yes tape when she first came out in the early 90's. I loved it, but thought her image was too old for her back then. Wasn't she like 20 or something when she dropped? They chose to take her more on the contemporary jazz route. She was in great company, I believe George Duke did production on alot of her first joint. Again, great music but I'm not sure she ever connected to her own age group at the time. By the time she hooked up with JD, it was too late for that in my opinion. Nice soprano. Oh yeah, I saw her once at a concert between the WTC in NY around 2000. I think Chante's Got A Man was her big hit at the time. BT Express opened before her.

Yeah, that's my favorite too Au underrated 90s R&B masterpiece! All I ever remember about Chante is wanting to pick up this album when it came out. I don't even remember which song I wanted it for, probably the title cut. And thinking she was stunning. I never did pick this up.

I love Chante. My favorite cd from her is her 3rd. This Moment Is Mine is damn-near perfect from start to finish.
She should kick J-Lo and Rodney Jerkins for reusing her song. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Like I said before, I consider you the lil' sister that I never had...I think they did, with Chante coming out maybe a few months earlier. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
