For some reason I never had a fondness for that song. One of a few from that decade.

I agree...after coming from the dance-floor burning outfit Midnight Star...you'd think they'd pump out some sick jams...but they came out with this piece of fluff that ended up a 'Wheel of Fortune' theme for a time! It was 1990...a time of many bad pop songs...(Wilson Phillips anyone? New Kids?? Timmy T?? TOMMY PAGE???!!

Didnt they produce something for The Boys (of 'Dial My Heart' fame)??? They were fun...cute kids

Calloway Brothers just cashed in on that Ray Parker JR Way of making Hits&if you need the loot can't hate all the way."sir lancelot" the follow up single too "I wanna be rich" was even more corny IMHO.

While I agree, I Wanna Be Rich was vanilla pop, the album over all was fairly good. Funny you mentioned this because I just pulled the CD out a few weeks back after 8-10 years on the shelf. I had forgotten how much I really liked this album. Good guest players too, including Chuckii Booker, G. Albright and Jeff Loeber.

I was never all that crazy about this song, but I can see why it became a hit. It's catchy, with a great hook, and it has a theme that most people can relate to...lol...

But,I LOVE the song they produced for Natalie Cole in 1987,"Jump Start".

I was wondering if they were one hit wonders. I don't recall "Sir Lancelot."
