This just in from U2 headquarters: The Irish band will release a DVD of last year's massive Rose Bowl concert sometime in 2010, according to U2's website.

Details remain foggy, but apparently they want the info out immediately, before they finalize the decisions: "The band are still working on the content of the DVD," reads a note on their site, before asking fans to register to get the latest updates.

The news isn't a big surprise, considering the band partnered with YouTube to stream the concert live.

Without a doubt the highlight of these 360 shows for me.

Absolutely phenomenal.

A lot of us on the Org watched the show together, and kept the thread alive on the Org about it.

God, how many live DVDs have these guys released??

U2’s Massive Rose Bowl 360 Concert Hits DVD June 3rd

U2360° at the Rose Bowl was shot with 27 HD cameras and directed by Tom Krueger, who previously helmed U23D.

U2360° at the Rose Bowl will be available in a variety of formats, from standard DVD to the Super Deluxe 2-DVD Box Set.

Some versions will include a making-of documentary Squaring the Circle: Creating U2360°, featuring new interviews with Bono and the Edge, while the double-DVDs will also boast No Line on the Horizon music videos plus the bonus Rose Bowl track “Breathe” as well as more behind-the-scenes material.

Fans who splurge for the Super Deluxe edition will also receive a still-unspecified 7” single, a replica tour program, a 24-page book, the set list and a poster. Check out all available editions at the U2 shop.



The release of U2360° at the Rose Bowl will coincide with the launch of U2’s 2010 North American leg of the 360° Tour, kicking off June 3rd in Salt Lake City and concluding at East Rutherford, New Jersey’s New Meadowlands Stadium on July 19th.
