Most under rated albums

Which albums do you think are very underated?

Recently, I have been listening to Make You Shake It by The Human Body, and it's a great album that I've heard almost nobody ever mention!
I particularly like Hit Me, Please Let Me Find Her and There Is Nobody, but the whole album is strong.

Here are audio samples from each track: http://www.soulandfunkmus...u_shake_it

Here are the album credits: http://www.duke.edu/~tmc/...akeit.html

"Blowout Comb", by Digable Planets. This was the most slept on album of the 90's. Much better than their debut, in my opinion.

Last year Chico DeBarge CD "Addiction". His album received a lil' bit of airplay in Chi-town but his album was solid, I didn't feel the need to skip a song.

ZZ Top - Mescalero.Their most recent album

Simple Minds - Sparkle In The Rain

Stone Roses - Second Coming. The weight of expectation meant this would always be an anticlimax as an event...but it's a better album than most would have you believe.

Lemonheads - Lovey

The Jam - Sound Affects. Perfect British guitar pop.

Depeche Mode - Black Celebration. Often overlooked in favour of Violator
This is not an exit

Michael Jackson - Blood On The Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix
This album is simply amazing. It is (I think) a very personal
and funky album. People would always say MJ wouldn't take chances
with his music often, but I think the new songs on this album showed
he would. "Superfly Sister" is incredible. "Morphine" is fascinating.
"Ghosts" and "Is It Scary" are both catchy and worthy of examining for
a deeper meaning. Lastly, the title track is just down-right catchy.
I remember seeing the video on TV as a kid, after having been an MJ fan
for several years and thinking, "This song is just so catchy." I played
that song out. Seriously. Plus, most of the remixes were decent.
I don't get why MJ fans and casual fans alike dismiss this album I dig it!

Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True
I picked this album because even though it had
all the hits in 1989 and 1990 and was given love,
these days the pop music on it gets no attention.
Most other 80s songs as popular as the songs on
this album still get some attention, these don't.
The scandal shouldn't impact the music's livelihood.
The music (and the real singers) are still amazing.

ZAPP II - It had Dance Floor and Doo Wa Ditty recoginized as singles, but Playin Kinda Ruff, Do You Want An Answer, Come On and A Touch Of Jazz really work it out. No better record to put on in a road trip situation, and I don't know of a lot of people who really get it with ZAPP II - those singles were just that popular. I love every moment on the album.

nod

Had it been released as a Rolling Stones album, it would have been chosen as the best rock album of the 90s...

Some of you guys are way off the charts! I can think of 5 most underrated albums. The first would come from one of the greatest artists of our time: Stevie Wonder. Of all of Stevie's albums, no one ever mentions The Secret Life Of Plants. This is a classic and always forgotten Wonder album. Also, how about Public Enemy's first Lp: Yo! Bum Rush The Show.I love this album! This is what got me started on PE. Third album to mention is Jesse Johnson's Shockadelica.Terrific set featuring She(I Can't Resist), Addiction, Baby Let's Kiss, and Black In America. Fourth album to mention is Michael Jackson's Forever,Michael. This last solo album for Motown is one of my fave Michael albums and defintely underrated 100%. When the Kinf of Pop passed away last summer, nobody even mentioned this album. When they talked about his solo projects from Motown, Got To Be There and the Ben albums were only mentioned. Only Larry King actually showed this album in the background when showing all of Mike's albums during the telecast. Damn shame! Last but not least is the Isley Bros. album Givin' It Back. This album of remakes is often overlooked for some reason or another. Yes, the Isleys had classic albums over the years like: Harvest For The World, Go For Your Guns, Eternal, Showdown, Brother,Brother,Brother, 3+3, and my personal fave The Heat Is On. But somehow this one is never hardly mention as a good or even classic Isley album. Why? Why on any of these? That poses the question now does it? That's My list and I'm sticking with it.
