Wow - so I left for Easter break and had 10 pages of posts to catch up on.
One thing that strikes me time and time again is the hate a lot of people have towards people in Michael's life, and some anger around people who weren't there for him or spoke badly of him prior to his death changing their tune with his passing. I get the disappointment, I truly do. ButI think you also have to remember that Michael was human and just as we may feel that people abandoned him, he may have also pushed people away. Let's face it, in this life we all make mistakes, we all end friendships too soon, and sometimes too late. For those that truly knew him to now be re-evaluating what they knew and changing their mind about him is natural. And they should have a right to. People like Lisa Marie (in my opinion) wanted to distance herself from Michael post breakup as many people do when a relationship falls apart. And with that failure comes resentment and sometimes that is expressed poorly. But I still think her blog posts following Michael's death were honest and timely. She knew people would be looking to her for her reaction and she gave it. Similarly, people like Janet will forever be asked about Michael and his death. It's natural for journalists to want to try and uncover something, and in doing so (no matter how trivial) will twist words and look for soundbites and headlines to sell more papers. It's the world we live in. Whilst I am no fan of Madonna, I keep going back to her heartfelt speech at the MTV awards. It was raw and honest. And though many here still hold ill feelings towards Aphrodite Jones - if you read her book you get to understand that she too got caught up in the media speculation where it was easier to run a negative MJ story than a positive one. And if you do read her book (written well before it was fashionable to write anything positive coming out of the trial) then you get to understand her situation and applaud her for trying to set the record straight. That's all these people are trying to do. So let these people admit their wrong perceptions and let's applaud them for having the guts to try and rectify it. We are all blind fans. because we defend the guy in this particular topic using evidence. You're the only sane admiror! We are all crazy but you. You're that good while we, the rest, are a bunch of worshippers who know nothing. Please murph, enlighten us (without using the same argument again and again...but that's just a post scriptum)! It's not about me knowing what addiction is...It's about a few overzealous MJ fans not understanding that addiction varies....You can be an addict and go on to live a successful, healthy life... The whole "MJ was performing pretty well on This Is It" theory is shaky...Mike was a functioning addict...He was able to bring himself from the brink...And he should be given credit from this because God knows I wanted the man to stay around...But from all accounts, it was still a daily battle for him...Live-in doctor's scoring you a plethora of prescriptions does not exactly mean someone has gotten over their addictions...What it means is, MJ was able to contain his addictions.. The only problem was he chose the wrong doctor... I think perhaps this is the best explanation ever. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Conrad Murray's Attorneys Will Look To Delay Preliminary Hearing
Posted on Apr 05, 2010 @ 07:17AM Splash News Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday at 1:30 pm PST. The main focus of the hearing will to be to set a date for a preliminary hearing for the embattled doctor RadarOnline.com has learned. However, sources close to the situation tell us that Dr. Murray's lead attorney, Ed Chernoff will likely ask for a continuance in setting the date for the preliminary hearing. If the judge agrees, the insider close to Dr. Murray tells us, "The preliminary hearing probably won't take place until the fall." PHOTOS: Michael Jackson And Other Troubled Child Stars During a preliminary hearing, a judge decides if there is enough evidence to order the defendant to stand trial, so the hearing will be make-or-break for Dr. Murray. Dr. Conrad Murray Fights Back To Keep Medical License Officials from the California Attorney General's office will also likely be at the hearing because they filed paperwork to have Dr. Murray's license revoked to practice in California until the outcome of the criminal proceedings. Dr. Murray's attorney's fired back in legal docs stating that Dr. Murray must continue to practice medicine so that he can earn a living and pay for his defense. EXCLUSIVE: Dr. Conrad Murray Will Call As Witness Another Doc Who Gave Jackson Propofol Prosecutors maintain Murray gave Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic Propofol, which led to his shocking death on June 25, 2009. In February of 2010, Murray pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in connection with the King of Pop’s death. RadarOnline will be in the courtroom for Monday’s hearing and will bring you up-to-the-minute developments as they happen. http://www.radaronline.co...ry-hearing Forgive me I'm a bit behind on the details of the case but I have a question--I thought Conrad Murray was only licensed to practice in Nevada and Texas. When did he get a license to practice in California?? MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent

I don´t think he smoked. I´ve never heard about him smoking. I think this is just him posing with a cigarette. It doesn´t look even lit up. Ok I read some of the court docs. Apparently Conrad Murray is licensed to practice in CA. He received his Physicians and Surgeons license in April 22, 1991 and its set to expire on Feb. 28, 2011 if it isnt renewed. The only problem was he chose the wrong doctor... I think perhaps this is the best explanation ever. except for the fact that there is absolutely no evidence that murray was there to 'score a plethora of prescriptions' for mj. there weren't a plethora of prescriptions found in mj's system; there were the prescriptions that murray gave him that night to put him to sleep b/c he couldn't. murray was hired the last six weeks of his life. where are the other doctors who supplied mj? after nearly a year, there have been no other arrests, no other info about hundreds of pills being obtained, the lie that mj used his son's name to score pills was revealed as such. think of brittany murphy and corey haim; almost as soon as they died, there was info about the hundreds of pills prescribed to them. where is that info when it comes to mj if he was popping pills that heavily? i don't always agree with mol, but s/he is right about this. there is no hard evidence that we know of that mj was a drug addict in the last 10 years of his life. we know that he went to rehab in 1993; there is absolutely no evidence that he continued to have a problem insofar as prescription addiction goes. at this point it is pure speculation to say so, especially when his autopsy has been released, and mj's body shows absolutely no evidence of drug addiction.
