Saadiq is stuck so deep in lala land he doesn't realize that he was at his best with his brother and cousin. He's not more popular without the group and his music surely isn't better. [Edited 3/20/10 11:37am] I know he and Dawn Robinson had their problems in Lucy Pearl but it was shocking to find out he and Ali Shaheed Muhammad had differences too. Don't laugh at my funk

He was the lead singer of the group so the sound was his, who cares who'singing back up. And, he doesn't have to split the money. He can just take care of his brother financially and call it a day, without all of the band disputes and drama. Hmm I disagree 100%, the sound wasn't "all his". His brother and Tim are extremely talented cats. Sure Saadiq had the lead singer sound for the Tonies, and no doubt extremely talented in his own right, but you can't discredit the "other two" members. Without them, I doubt we would even be having this discussion today about Raphael. There's no way Raphael could have pulled off "Whatever You Want"...D'Wayne's voice was perfect for it. [Edited 3/20/10 7:27am] One of the times I met Raphael and it will be the last time. Because I don't ever want to see him EVER again. I asked him about if he & TTT will ever reunite again. He was so rude and nasty to me. I wanted to drop kick him across the room. But his bodyguards were near. i really didn't want to put him out like this. But it wasn't the first time he was like that toward me..Also Dwayne his brother is equally as talented and wrote one of Destiny Child's hits... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

To me Tony Tone Toni performing with a Raphsel Sadiq look a like and sound alike speaks volumes...I would rather be at this performance...

[Edited 3/20/10 7:27am] Agreed. D'Wayne's voice was perfect for Last Summer,Slow Wine,Who, and other TTT songs too. You can't deny that Whatever You Want isn't a favorite among TTT fans and it wouldn't sound the same with Raphael singing lead on it. Okay, I'm not the biggest TTT fan so I'll take everyone's word for it about the two other guys. I guess in "Prince terms" the other guys would be the equivalent of Wendy and Lisa???

Ralph might not appreciate that and laugh about it..but I did. It's funny cus its true, and honestly, I'm mad there hasn't been a TTT reunion too. Those were some damn good songs. You know half his audience goes there for the TTT Medley/hits anyway. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

Right! It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have this "i'm above the others" type attitude. People who usually roll like that sort of fade away after a while. He keeps this attitude up then he'll be begging for a reunion in about 10 more years. His solo albums have been far weaker than any of the Tonies albums...Instant Vintage included. She might be upset because he screwed her over and it hurt her career. Remember she left En Vogue because the record company gave them a shady contract, so they weren't getting paid. Then she moves onto Lucy Pearl and Saadiq screws her over too. The entertainment business is hard on minorities and women, so of course she's going be upset. The other guys probably don't mention it as much because they still have careers, so they're less bitter.

Saadiq does come off very cocky the couple of times i've met him and TTT albums were great compared to his solo work. But i still appreciate his output solo and as a producer /writer like "love of my life" and "brotha". You have to admit that he was the most talented and charismatic of the Tonies. D'wayne is a good songwriter and guitarist but his solo album sucked by comparison to Saadiq or without comparison D'wayne solo was very weak. If they don't reunite I doubt that Saadiq will be hurting at any time. saadiq always has a gem or two on his solo material. D'wayne and Tim will be fine touring. A reunion would be nice for the fans though
