if she'd keep that man of hers out of her career and bring jam and lewis back for a full album, she probably would get a comeback

"That man of her's" produced 2 of the best selling albums around the time Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. was released. Not saying his crap production would help her. You would think they would like her music more .... I guess. Jam & Lewis were in the picture since 2007. People need to let that shit go. They've been with Janet on all her albums but one. I can admit that I'm not hoping for this huge ass comeback from Janet that the media seems to play up ( you know they love a comeback story). I don't see it happening. I just don't appreicate this sleepyq person contradicting himself. Stick to one story.

just my twocents but janet is pretty par without jam and lewis writing almost everything for her. her music has always been about the music, not her par singing.

i'd have to check, but i bet that most if not all of her post all for you work that i like are the few j&l songs.

Yep, even black folks dissed her and that was supposed to be the community to "have her back". So she was a scapegoat for EVERYBODY. I won't forget when Chris Rock went on a rant against her (not to mention MJ and "greasy ass Jermaine").

I know, shame. disbelief I'm not a fan but I bought Damita Jo just because... I thought there was a witchhunt going on.

speaking of which...

Damita Jo is on my amazon's wish list.so i'll be getting that one too.i already
have "All For You" .i like all of the slow ballads and several of the dance tracks nod

Too bad they didn't write almost everything for her. You mean producer almost everthing for her. Janet did the writing along with Terry Lewis. For her fans not the fairweathered assholes that think she can't sing - it has always been about her voice. People don't listen to singer they think don't have a nice voice.

Um ok and I feel the same way. I just think they work well together. There's no need to fucking discredit her.

i like madonna a lot, but can admit she's not terribly talented either. it doesn't discredit her or take away from her accomplishments, it's just being real about it.

michael was more talented, but i like janet a whole lot more.

She has flopped 2 times in a row... and the GH #1s is also an initial flop. She should've sold more than Madonna with all the promo she got that Madonna did not. She's middle aged. She's a woman. Yes, she's over- commercially.

She could've bounced back from SB, in '06/'07... but after 3 flops, that space of time is up. No contradictions.

Janet's music catalogue is much better, I enjoy her videos and performances much more... but she's not more talented, its very clear cut...

um... yes.

they're called writing credits, and they can be found easily. in the cds, online, in the copyright records.

not amazingly, they often are credited as harris, jackson, and lewis, and sometimes just harris and lewis.

You've got to be kidding. Celebration has sold more copies in the UK alone than Number Ones has sold worldwide. Celebration has sold over a million in Europe alone. Number Ones hasn't even sold a third of that worldwide.

Janet got to open the AMAs and did the much hyped GMA appearance. Madonna didn't do any promo, yet Celebration sold over 200k while Number Ones is just over 100k.

Point? I thought it was already cleared that Madonna has a wider audience outside of the states unlike Janet. How did Celebration do in the states? It flopped, bewtz. They weren't released on the same day or better yet - month neither.

I'm not the one that brought Hagdonna up in the first place, mmkay? You did. Don't bring talent up the hag will always lose that debate.
