Weezy Actually Goes To Jail Now that Lil Wayne has officially been sentenced on his weapons charges and escorted to Rikers today–after previous attempts hindered by dental work and fires–folks are breaking out the Free Weezy tees. He’s been sentenced to a year but will likely only serve about 8 months. Wayne will reportedly remain in private custody the entire time: “He is going to be in protective custody, because of who he is,” his lawyer Stacy Richman said. He did not want to, but the department of correction said it’s mandatory. He cannot be with other detainees.” His last personal Tweet till his comeback: “Law is mind without reason. ……………..I’ll return.” Alrighty then. Good luck Lil Tunechi. I’m sure we’ll be kept company with your umpteen videos and tracks you did in the last few weeks. http://theybf.com/

Becuase its the image that sells, think about, I remember being in music retail and everytime there was a shooting, an arrest, a murder, etc...sales went up and the consumer bought it and thats the saddest part people support the behavior, plain and simple, the label supports it, the media supports it, and the dumb ass consumer supports it 24/7. The artists are a reflection of the what the public is. What I can't understand is these ignorant people who have the nerve to wear t-shirts saying, Free Weezy or Free Gucci Mane. I'm like are you serious? These cats did their crime, confessed to their crimes and justice is being served but you want them freed instead? That's just DUMB!!!!!

if only it meant that we wouldn't be hearing any of his music for that period of time.
but in addition to his recent album, i'm afraid he probably spent the last several weeks in the studio to be parsed out to different artists who come calling while he's in jail. "Here's one for Madonna, here's one for Shakira, here's one for Drake, here's one for Michael Buble...."
