So tell me again why i am supposed to put stock in a radio hit??

Some on this forum like to post about "Radio Hits" and putting stock on what gets played on the radio.....so tell me why i need to follow the radio when someone like "Kesha" is played with songs like "TikTok" and now her new gem "Blah Blah Blah" if you put stock in what gets played on the radio and you are over the age of 9, time to put down the weed.

You must be talking about somebody else because I haven't listened to the radio since 2005 and the few chances I did hear it I wanted to cover my ears. lol

I don't mean to sound unprofessional, but.....

1. What man OR woman did Ke$ha had to f*** to get a record deal?

2. WTF did Flo Rida see OR hear in her to justify his decision to put her own one of his tracks?

1.) Whoever's the boss of her record label.
2.) Flo Rida is always high on ecstasy pills and caffeine.

the funny thing is that those two are going to be the most downloaded artists and break all sets of "downloading" records (like that even counts) and yet make almost nothing off it while a label makes tons, and the music is as disposable as the artist. And lets add that neither can sell an album but still have a zillion single downloads, amazing, remember when you got the single and that made you buy the album, these artists are so wack people will buy 5 downloads from the same artist and not spend the 2-3 dollars more on the whole thing.

I think the real question is "What is a Clear Channel or Cumulius radio hit?" Conglomerates make hits for people like Ke$ha and Lady Gaga.

True and yeah I agree with bboy, what the hell is radio?
What the hell is commercial pop? What is the hell of urban R&B?

I took stations that play current music off my dial back in 1997 and even back then, I had already been bored with them for about five or six years. It was easy to give them up because by then, they had an oldies station that played music from the 1970s and 1980s instead of the previous one that played music from the 1950s and 1960s.
