Kool & The Gang (post-JT) I've referred to the pre-JT period (1969-1978 in terms of records) as being my favorite regarding Kool & The Gang material.
Here's a few recently posted clips of a post-JT era group (year 2000 concert) playing some of their classic instrumental tunes. ...Kool & The Gang ...Wild And Peaceful ...Sea of Tranquility (the vocals were not a part of the original 1969 recording) ...Raw Hamburger / Chocolate Buttermilk ...Let The Music Take Your Mind Love the augmented horn section and the use of 2 drummers. The trumpet player who takes the muted trumpet solo during Wild And Peaceful appears to be Michael Ray who also played with Sun Ra! Music for adventurous listeners tA Tribal Records"Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all." | |
