Because many get into the acting or singing business at a young age and don't have the time. Besides, just because University might be a struggle or you don't get a degree doesn't have to mean you're unintelligent.

But we have plenty of intelligent University people in the biz. If we take actors we have Nathalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock, James Stewart, Donald Sutherland, Stephen Fry, Tommy Lee Jones, Dolph Lundgren, Aishwarya Rai, Meryl Streep, just to name a few. A couple of these even have a Master.

Do you have one?

When I can find "Rated R" and "Good Girl Gone Bad" on the bargain bins, I'll probably buy them both. I like Rihanna's music, and her, SO much more than Beyus. I'm so sick of the media treating Beyonce like she is Tina Turner. It is sickening. At least Rihanna knows her place and doesn't question it, or try to be, "an idol."

I know idiot Jay-Z helped Rihanna, but I'd like to think if enough people get behind Rihann's music, Beyonce will have to get lost, or at least go back to her without talent acting attempts.

I wouldn't buy them. Rihanna is defo better than Beyonce but none of them interests me to the extent of having their albums. I wouldn't even buy their greatest hits. Why am I here then? Well I am a chart freak and I love the discussions about current Top 40 artists. But the discussion is pointless, 'Rude Boy' hit the Top 10 in the '10s, not the '00s and even if u consider the millennium Beyonce will soon be Top 10 with 'Telephone' so they will still be equal

She's the 50 Cent of R&B/Pop.
When all is said and done, bytch can't sing.
All of the hot tracks, haircuts and skank outfits won't fix that deviated septum sound of hers.
I don't like Beyoncé's material but she IS without a doubt talented and therefore can be respected as an entertainer.
This chick can't sing, can't dance and can't write.
So she's perfect for her tin-eared audience that wouldn't know good music if it moved in with them and kicked in on half the rent.

How old are you?? They are all huge, I'm sorry. Just because YOU don't know them it doesn't mean they are not big celebrities. If you tell me you don't know who James Stewart is, or rather was, or Donald Sutherland I'm gonna faint.
Are you saying singers/musicians are less intelligent than actors? Besides, you were talking about people in the entertainment business and actors are very much part of it so...
I just find it so stereotypical to think that people in the entertainment buisness are somehow less brainy than others.

Did beyonce, Britney, Rihanna, christina A. even graduate highschool????

They get these brainless women in the entertainment industry to control them.

"Rude Boy" is #4 on this week's Billboard, for what it's worth.

I, too, prefer Rihanna to Beyonce. Well, I don't like Beyonce, her image, her music, or style of singing at all, so that's not saying much. Rihanna's songs are better crafted and have much stronger melodies than Beyonce's, I've noticed (and she doesn't pretend to "write" them to get songwriting credit).

Looking at that list of hits, I noticed I seem to like quite a few of her songs: Disturbia, Umbrella, Russian Roulette, Shut Up & Drive, Rude Boy, Hard, Take A Bow, Pon De Replay, and Please Don't Stop the Music. Also, Run This Town & Live Your Live are two of the more memorable collabos (along with New York State of Mind). If she releases Photographs and/or Fire Bomb, she'll end up with two more top tens from Rated R, I think.
